Why Accessibility Matters to Us

Accessibility is more than just a legal requirement for us – it is a fundamental part of our identity. We want everyone to be able to use our website, regardless of their physical, cognitive, or technical abilities. That’s why we are committed to making our online services as accessible and inclusive as possible.

What We Are Working On

We follow the requirements of the Accessible Information Technology Ordinance (BITV 2.0) and the international Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1, Level AA). Our goal is to provide content that is understandable, operable, and usable for all people – including those with visual, auditory, or motor impairments.

Current Implementation Status

A large part of our pages and functions is already basically accessible. However, we are aware that there is still room for improvement. Currently, we are working on issues such as:

• inconsistent heading structures in some areas
• individual graphic elements without alternative text
• complex form fields with limited keyboard accessibility
• missing focus indicators for interactive elements
• partially insufficiently visible error messages in forms

We are continuously working on these points – with a particular focus on screen reader compatibility, keyboard navigation, and accessible forms. Initial improvements have already been implemented, and more are being added step by step.

Limitations and Exceptions

Some older content or less frequently used sections of our website do not yet fully meet the current accessibility requirements. We are gradually updating them as part of our technical and organizational possibilities.
