Hey,
i am subletting my single room in Studentenwerk Eichkamp for a month from 13th December 2012 to 19th January 2013. The room is 17 square meter and is more than comfortable for a short stay for a single person. its a student wohnheim and so its got plenty of students living. so you could meet people from different parts of the world. if you are an outgoing person and like to meet new people, this is the perfect setting for you :D the room has a shared kitchen and shared bathroom with 6 other very nice people. two Germans, 2 Polish, 1 Estonian and 1 Indian. the room is furnished with a wardrobe, bed, table and chair. the internet is shared too and its fast. internet charges covered in the rent itself. all i ask is to keep the room clean and neat so it is livable when i get back to Berlin :-)
the room is walkable from Heerstrasse or Messe Süd on the S5 or S75. the trains are frequent enough to take you where ever you want to go. The walk is enjoyable through the woods (via messe süd) or lined with nice houses (via heerstraße). From heerstrasse you could reach Zoologischer garten via a bus too. (M49)
The wohnheim is huge with 15 houses and plenty of students. With luck, you could run into someone from your country as well. It is always buzzing with activity even though its winter. the shared kitchen means you get to have food from different cuisines :-) its a great place to live.
