Unsere Wohnung liegt im 4. Obergeschoss eines Altbaus am äußeren Rand von Friedrichshain - der Bezirk Kreuzberg ist einen kurzen Fußweg über die Warschauer Brücke und die Oberbaumbrücke entfernt. Das RAW-Gelände liegt direkt auf der anderen Straßenseite der Wohnung. Hier befindet sich - neben Clubs und Bars - auch ein schöner Biergarten und der sonntägliche Flohmarkt. Der Boxhagener Platz ist nur 5 Gehminuten entfernt. Hier findest Du jede Menge unterschiedlicher Restaurants und Bars - kulinarisch wirst Du in dieser Gegend sehr gut versorgt. Am Boxi kannst du neben dem Flohmarkt am Sonntag auch den Wochenmarkt an Samstagen besuchen, auf dem regionale Lebensmittel angeboten werden. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten wie Aldi, Rewe, DM und Rossmann sind ebenfalls nur 5-8 Gehminuten entfernt. Dies gilt auch für die Anbindung an öffentliche Verkehrsmittel: Tram, S-Bahn, U-Bahn und Ringbahn sind in wenigen Minuten zu Fuß erreichbar. Mit dem in der Nähe liegenden Ostbahnhof bist Du schnell am Flughafen Berlin-Brandenburg.

Our flat is on the 4th floor of a building on the outer edge of Friedrichshain - the Kreuzberg district is only a short walk away via the Warschauer Brücke and the Oberbaumbrücke. The RAW area is directly across the street from the flat. Here you will find - amongst clubs and bars - a nice beer garden and the Sunday flea market. Boxhagener Platz is only a 5-minute walk away where many different restaurants and bars are situated - you will be very well catered for in this area. At Boxi you can visit the flea market on Sundays as well as the weekly market on Saturdays, where regional food is offered. Shopping facilities such as Aldi, Rewe, DM and Rossmann are also only a 5-8 minute walk away. This also applies to public transport connections: tram, S-Bahn, U-Bahn and Ringbahn are all within a few minutes' walk. With the nearby Ostbahnhof, you can quickly reach the Berlin-Brandenburg airport.

Die Wohnung hat zwei Zimmer, in einem davon wohne ich. Ich bin Anni, eine 30jährige Doktorandin, die im Bereich des Kunstrechts promoviert. Da ich mich in den letzten Zügen meiner Doktorarbeit befinde und nach zwei Jahren Homeoffice einen Ortswechsel brauche, werde ich mich im Sommer überwiegend außerhalb Berlins aufhalten. Bis auf wenige Ausnahmen - wenn überhaupt - wirst Du also alleine in der Wohnung wohnen. Selbstverständlich bin ich aber bei Fragen jederzeit erreichbar. Zudem herrscht im Haus eine tolle Nachbar:innenschaft.

The flat has two rooms, I live in one of them. I am Anni, a 30-year-old PhD student in the field of art law. Since I am in the final stages of my thesis and need a change of location after two years of home office, I will be staying mostly outside of Berlin during the summer. Apart from a few exceptions - if any - you will live alone in the flat. Of course, you can always reach me if you have any questions. In addition, there are great neighbours in the house.
