THE SPACE

It's bright, light, and quiet. High ceilings, wooden floors, big windows overlooking the leafy patio - if you’ve been in Germany for a while, you'll know what an 'Altbau' is. It's always full of light even on the dullest days (unless you put the blinds down). The insulation and the heating are superb, so you'll never feel cold. The neighbourhood is very safe and there's an intercom. You'll get separate keys for entry to the building and to the apartment itself of course. The flat is fully furnished and has contemporary decor, it's clean and relaxing.

THE NEIGHBOURHOOD

You'll have the flat all to yourself but step out into the 'Kiez' and you'll find a variety of fantastic coffee houses, lush parks (Körnerpark, Tempelhofer Feld), indoor gyms, ice cream shops, trendy bars and great restaurants including my favourite Nini e Pettirosso. It's a really lively place to base yourself.
If you fancy doing some cooking at home, there are various supermarkets as well as organic/wholefood shops within walking distance (Netto, Kaiser's, Denn's Biomarkt, Lidl, Real, Aldi, Penny...)

GETTING AROUND

It's dead easy to get around. Hermannstrasse station is only 3mins walk away and Neukölln station is really close by (5mins walk). Night buses drop you almost by the door. You'll get anywhere (well, Kreuzberg, Mitte, Schöneberg, Friedrichshain...) in no more than 20mins and, if you feel like pedalling, you can hire a bike around the corner.
