I am subletting my 1-room apartment due to going for an internship in the US.
The apartment is on a ground floor with a green view of the garden. It has a single room and a separate kitchen. The room has a big (140x200) bed with a comfortable mattress, a 2-er couch, a small table which can be used as an eating table or a desk, a 2-door wardrobe and an 8-cell IKEA shelf and three chairs. As an addition there is a foldable weight-bench (does not take much space and can be used).
The kitchen has a fridge, microwave, oven, sink, nice espresso machine, as well as high-speed nutrition mixer, electric pot, water filter pot and a double bin for trash.
The shower cabin is located in the kitchen, and this works surprisingly well. The toilet is small but has a sink, IKEA shelf, mirror.
The apartment has a small private terrace which is quite nice for reading and having coffee when the weather is nice. There is a big, green, shared garden with table and chairs and grill.
The apartment is located in a 5-floor WG house. This is quite nice since you can live separately and you can still hang out with the other people in the house, having a barbeque, etc.
Although the apartment is fully equipped with private bathroom and kitchen, there is a shared kitchen, which is usually used by the other people in the house but can also be used.
There is a shared washing machine for the entire house which is free for use (using own detergent). A shared vacuum cleaner can be used.
The rent is 560 euro, which includes everything you need: electricity, water, warm water and heating and wi-fi internet (the internet is shared).
The apartment is located in a 5-floor WG house which is quite nice since you can always hang out with multi-national neighbors which speak English and Deutsch.
Neighborhood: The house is located in Handschusheim, in a green and quiet area. The neighborhood is very safe no matter when you go out.
Connections: The tram stop is 4 minutes away, having tram 23, 24 and 5 which takes 10 minutes to the city center and 11-18 min to the main train station (Heidelberg Hbf). The area is bike friendly - 8-10 minutes by bike to the University, 12 by bike minutes to the city center, 15 minutes to the Hbf.
Shopping: Nearby there are a lot of supermarkets - Penny - work time (500m), Rossman (600m), Aldi, Rewe, DM, Biomarkt, Lidl (800 m). There is another big REWE which works Mon-Sat, 7-24h, located in 7 min by bike!
Parking: The street in front of the house is narrow for parking but there are a lot of parking opportunities nearby and you can always find a spot.
I am subletting the flat for the time I am away but the in and out dates are flexible. If you are looking for a long-term rent, this would work to some extent for you since the Summer Semester ends July 28 and you can easily find another apartment after that date.
I will leave some of my stuff in 1/3 of the 3 door wardrobe and you would have plenty of space for clothes and other stuff. I also leave all utilities and they are available for use.
Time for viewing the apartment is flexible but 17-21 is preferred daily. If you are not present in Heidelberg, don't worry, we can arrange Skype/WhatsApp/Messenger call to show the apartment and discuss terms.
