Hello!

My name is Álvaro Díaz Carmona, I am a PhD student in the University of Granada (Spain) and I am staying in Mainz from September to December 2023. I am interested in renting an apartment from the 9th September to 14th December (the dates can be rearranged within some margin). I would like it to be furnished at least with a bed, a wardrobe and a desk, and I need a private kitchen and bathroom. It is also very important for me to be near the Johannes Gutenberg University or at least to have a direct public transport connection that can take me there in less than half an hour. I would prefer a well-lit place with nice views because it helps me stay inspired and focused when working from home.

I am not familiar with the german renting system but I am ready to provide any documentation you require, for example, a proof of my monthly income.

Some personal information about me: I am 26 years old, I don't smoke and I don't have pets. When I hang out with friends, I go to bars or restaurants, but I never do parties at home because I am too busy to organise such events. I lived with my family for 18 years, then I moved to a shared flat until I finished my BSc in Physics. Now I live alone, sustained by my paid contract with the University of Granada. I consider myself a calm and quiet person: in my free time on weekdays, I enjoy walking, doing yoga, reading books or playing videogames. During weekends, I do batch cooking for the rest of the week, so it is very important for me to have a nice kitchen space. The topic of my PhD thesis is enclosed within Theoretical Physics and, after two years of research, I have been invited to collaborate with the Group of Theoretical Physics in the Johannes Gutenberg University for three months. I have enjoyed my time so far in this beautiful city and I really wish to find a place to live peacefully for the rest of my stay here.
