My name is Mohamed Ghanem (nickname: Oscar). I’m a 23-year-old Computer Engineering graduate from the American University in Cairo. I am moving to Saarbrucken for my Ph.D. preparatory phase at the Saarbrucken Graduate School of Computer Science at Saarland University (such a long name!). I will be coming to Germany during the first week of October 2021 (ideally on the 1st of Oct.).
My main hobbies are reading and problem-solving. I enjoy listening to the piano, country, classic, and post-rock music. I generally like watching comedy shows; my favorite comedian is Bo Burnham. I also love cycling although I haven’t done it in quite some time. I absolutely love cats and most dogs. Oh, and I also love to make human friends too! 😊
I am a non-smoker, but I can tolerate smoking to a moderate extent.
