The room is available for one month. It is light and has a glass door leading onto a balcony. It faces east with views over Freiburg town and hinterland, Schauensland etc. If you want to sleep in there is a shutter on the sloping window. The furniture in the room is rather flexible to suit your needs.
There is good internet connection.
The kitchen is fully equipped with oven, stovetop, dishwasher and refrigerator. Its window overlooks a playground and small field and futher to the vineyards and Schönberg. The bathroom has a bath/shower and washing machine.
In the basement/underground garage area is also a storage room for the apartment, a parking place and a communal bike storage room.
St. Georgen has a wonderful old village atmosphere and everything one needs is close by and convenient. Within 5 minutes by foot there are a variety of shops and café/bakeries, a supermarket, 2 banks, primary and high schools, kindergarten, hairdressers, doctor, optometrist, a hotel with restaurant, bars and beer garden, the post office, fields for football and tennis, etc. The city center is 20 minutes away by bus linie 11 and 14. In 15 minutes, you can easily amble to the nearby vineyards or arrive at the Keidelbad Spa by bike or bus.
This top(6th) floor apartment offers views in 3 directions: north-east towards Shauensland, Freiburg and the hinterland, south towards the nearby vineyards and south-west towards the distant mountains in France. In 5 minutes by bike you are in the countryside, yet it is just 20 minutes you are in the town centre.
We are a not so young Australian couple who have been doing some research work at Freiburg Uni but will return to Oz in March. We enjoy music (mostly classical), cups of tea with a chat, riding our bikes round and about, relaxing at Keidelbad and exploring new vegetarian recipes. We hope to exchange some stories and get to know a little bit the person who moves here for just the month.
Ideally the person sharing the flat would also be vegetarian but it is not a must.
The room would suit someone who is studying, visiting Freiburg for a work project or just spending time exploring the area.

We will be doing a little bit of work preparing for our move back to Australia during the month.
It would also be possible to have the room for a shorter period with a negotiable rent.
