+++ The flat is part of a social-funded student shelter. Therefore the rent is cheap but you have to be registered as a student in Frankfurt or at HFG in Offenbach. Just to make sure: we are no fraternity!!! +++
The room will be available at least from September 2023 to February 2024 and propably long-term.
We are looking for an international student, preferably a FLINTA- person (german Shortcut for: Women, Lesbian, Inter, Nonbinary, Trans, Agender).
The room is in a partly self-organized student housing with four flats and 20 residents in total. It was established to bring together international students and students from Frankfurt and around. The room measures 12 m² and has a balcony towards the sunny south side. Additionally, there is a shared roof top, a big collective basement and a small garden.
There are regular house meetings to which all flats attend in order to manage basic chores like cleaning but also to organize parties, flea markets etc. from time to time.
The flat is three minutes from the metro station "Kirchplatz" where you find U6 and U7 and the bus line 34.
It´s only 10 minutes to the Center of Frankfurt and the night line also passes Kirchplatz.
The house is placed very close to Leipziger Straße; Campus Bockenheim and Goethe University are nearby.
We, Ania (she/her, 25) and Paula (she/her, 27) are looking for a new roommate, preferably FLINTA*.
In addition, Loki, a tiny and friendly dog will move in in September. :)
Paula has been living here for almost 4 years, studies Social Work and is currently writing her Bachelor-Thesis. She is a rather calm person, loves going for long walks with our (current) dog in the Nidda-Park and engages more or less in political activism.
Ania just moved here 3 months ago from Madrid. Currently she is working a part-time job in a bilingual kindergarten, taking German classes and will begin her studies in social work in October. Besides she likes to cook, going for walks with our current dog and enjoys going out at the weekend.
Although everyone is busy with their own things, we like to spend time together (for the usual stuff such aus cooking, hanging around, going out, go on trips etc).
At the moment, we don't share foods but sure share our cleaning task and try to meet up once in a while to discuss our WG-Life.
We value solidarity and political activism and share a critical perspective on society. In other words: no racism, sexism, antisemitism, classism, ableism etc.
If you're interested write us a short (and please interesting!) message about yourself and we'll get in touch with you.
We plan to invite you in the week from 19th to 25th of July.
