Hallo zusammen! Mein Deutsch ist nicht sehr gut, so I'll write in English. We are looking for TWO people for our friendly WG in Vogelsang. The rooms are both on the ground floor with lots of light; one of them has a bed and furniture included and is available from September 1 through December 31, 2018, at approximately 350€ per month warm (depost 100€). The other is available November 1 indefinitely for ~$370 (deposit 571€) and might include furniture. We would like to interview people this weekend via skype or facetime.
The house is two stories with four bedrooms on the first floor, three on the ground floor, and one in the basement. There is a large garden with greenhouse, BBQ, and shed, a wintergarten, a garage for bicycles, digital projector for films, dishwasher, washing machine, dryer, etc.
We are are an international mix of PhD students between 25-30 years old. We like to have occasional BBQs, parties, and movie nights, and like to explore the city together. We are looking for someone who is open, friendly, respectful, and social. Hope to hear from you!
The house is on a quiet and leafy cul-de-sac with friendly neighbors (retirees along with young families). By bicycle, we are 23 minutes from the University of Cologne, 14 minutes from the center of Ehrenfeld, 7 minutes from Rewe, 18 minutes from Bauhaus, and 24 minutes from the Dom. By foot, we are four minutes from bus routes 141 and 143 (Vogelsangermarkt) and 14 minutes from the Akanzienweg (lines 3 and 4) U-Bahn stop.
There is a large park nearby, perfect for running and sports, plus plentiful mixed-use trails through farmland and forest, the suburbs and Ehrenfeld, and the park.
We are looking for friendly and mature people in a similar age range who understand the balance between community and privacy in a WG situation. We are currently all expats so someone who enjoys a more international environment with all the inherent benefits and challenges would do well. We occasionally go out to explore the city together and generally enjoy each others' company while maintaining personal space.
