We are the proud tenants of our lovely Altbau flat in Mitte. She has very high ceilings (3.4m) decorated with stucco, and gorgeous wooden floorboards. We live on a main road, however the flat is situated in the back building, meaning we hear nothing from the streets surrounding us. Your room is the quietest and cosiest room, situated at the end of our long hallway. It's also the coolest room during these hot months! From now on we are renting the room furnished, so our next flatmate will get to enjoy a brand new bed and mattress (which hasn't arrived yet). Everything you can see in the photos will be included, and there is plenty of space left to style the room to your own taste. The rest of the flat is fully furnished with everything you could need (fully-equipped kitchen, dishwasher and washing machine). If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask us!
We are super centrally located, with tram (M5, 8, M10, 12) and U-Bahn (U6) stops basically outside the front door. Hauptbahnhof is two tram stops away (or a 10-15min walk), S-Nordbahnhof is a 5 minute walk away, and the U8 line is also a 10-15min walk. Thanks to these transport connections you can travel to any part of Berlin within 30 minutes, and the central location also makes it easy to reach places quickly by bike (5-10 mins Pberg/Wedding, 20mins Kreuzberg/Fhain, 30mins Neukölln).
Rewe is literally across the road, BioCompany is basically next door, Alnatura is down the road (50m) and dm is around the corner (100m). The post office is across the road and if you rather shop at Lidl or Edeka, they are also just a little further away.
There are plenty of cafés, restaurants, bars, Spätis, bakeries, and kebab shops too ;)
Hello!
You'd be moving in with myself, Jose (or Josy or Josephine) and Audrey. We're both 28 and are very good friends. I've been living in this flat for four years and Audrey moved in late last year. Audrey and I met in Berlin shortly after we arrived, around the same time in April 2017. I'm from Melbourne, Australia and Audrey is from Cork, Ireland. I can speak fluent German (my Mum's German) whereas Audrey is still learning the basics :D
We are pretty chilled flatmates and are looking for someone who is open-minded, down-to-earth and likes going with the flow of life. I would say we are very empathetic as people (INFP and ENFP respectively haha) and enjoy having deep conversations that can go on for hours, while we're sitting on our cosy couch in the kitchen. We also enjoy a joint here and there, and like to have a good laugh. Our party days are not over, however home is a place to relax and feel comfortable. Needless to say, we're thoughtful and considerate of each other, and we also appreciate our alone time! Audrey and I are both exploring our creativity: I'm writing a book and Audrey likes producing music, amongst other creative pursuits.
Above all else we value honesty and open communication. This is very much a queer-friendly flat, and will continue to be a safe space! I'm a straight cis female and Audrey is a trans woman in the beginning of her transition journey. We both use she/her pronouns.
