You're staying in Berlin for some months for the summer, doing some remote work, exploring the city, and also need a cozy room to relax with a nice community to be connected to?
Then this place is for you! ***Be aware: this place is ONLY available for 5 months***
In the room, you have a 140cm bed. Throughout the day there is a lot of light entering the room which is why you can use the dimmer on the windows to make the room darker in case you need to sleep in after a night of partying or being out late :-)
For the readers and reflecting people amongst you, the super comfy sofa chair offers you additional comfort!
There will be space for your clothing in the small wardrobe.
Please feel invited to chill in any of the common areas, too...living room, kitchen & dining area, reception couch area, or one of our two balconies.
There is the bus 194 just right in front of our house either within 12 minutes to Hermannplatz, a central point from where you reach many other connections to all directions of berlin, or within 6 minutes to S-Station Treptower Park, which also leads you to many other connection spots.
We are located between Berlin's most hip areas like Neukölln, Kreuzberg, and Friedrichshain - this has the advantage that you can reach everything easily within a walking distance, and also that the shops close to our house are not as expensive as they are in the famous spots of the neighborhoods mentioned above.
About our place, I love that nature is all around us. Being it the parks, the "länderdreieck" - an area where three canals meet and the former east-west German border was located, just the Görlitzer Park or the plain Spree - you can reach all this by foot.
You will be living with five other impressive and fire-loaden gender-diverse people.
We use to say we are a trauma-sensitive household and understand each other as guidances to each other on our path of personal development and maturity.
Communication plays a big role just as respecting the other's space and maintaining a sense of cleanness.
Joyce is a film director and queer media activist, involved in many projects who traveled mostly Asia and other parts of the world. she is happy to answer all your questions if you are lucky enough to meet her at home as she is also very busy with work. Your room will be opposite hers.
Marlene is a TAS - yes, Talent Acquisition Specialist, working for a famous company that saves food waste. She loves a clean and organized space and open, honest, and lovely people (who doesn't). She is a very social person, knows people and places, and can recommend places, especially if you are eager to explore the kinky, techno clubbing scene in Berlin. Please feel free to talk to her any time.
Paola, working as an architect, will most likely be very busy with work BUT she is really eager to meet new people so maybe you're lucky to get into contact with her as she is one of the nicest people to have a conversation with. She is from Brazil and lived in Weimar before. She has the room next to the small bathroom and the living room.
Sandy - She is amazing! No more words needed, if meet her, you will know it <3
Tabea - works as the leader of a development cooperation and education NGO and is a bad-ass power woman. If you meet her and she has time for a conversation you will be really lucky as she is one of the most inspiring and honest people I know.
You can use everything from the kitchen - of course. If you took something just make sure to rebuy it.
The same goes for all the areas and stuff in there, if something breaks or whatever, just communicate it and we find a solution. No one will be beheaded :D
Anything else to be said? Yes, please feel at home, tidy up behind you so the place remains comfy for all of us, talk to people, tell them about you or share that you need time and space for yourself. All this is really welcome!
Please share your plans for staying in Berlin and what drew you to apply for this place <3 There is an additional caution of 140 Euros for the furniture in the room, which you get back once you move out again.
Be aware that viewings will take on Friday, 22.05. from 7pm - 9pm and Saturday from 3pm - 6pm.
P.S. We are all vaccinated, please tell us about your vaccination status, too. Thank you!
