I'm going to write everything in English. I am fluent in German, but I don't have time to write everything twice and I can't imagine having a roommate who cannot speak english at all.
The room is unfurnished, 17m^2, gets plenty of light. The bathroom is shared with only one other person. The big living room and kitchen would be shared between all of three of us. Everything will be unfurnished
The building has an elevator, a garage, and a basement.
The room is in a central location in Charlottenburg, close to many bus lines and 10 minutes away from the U2 and U3. There are all kinds of supermarkets in the area which you can reach on foot or with a short bus ride.
I am taking this appartment over from friends to start a new WG. All three of us would sign a shared contract.
I am looking for people to create a freindly and familiar atmosphere, so chemistry is very important to me. I think living together would be awkward without a decent degree of friendship and familiarity.
I was born in Egypt and grew up very international, because my mother was a diplomat. I've lived in Egypt, Belgium, Malta, and finally Germany, in which I've been living for seven years. I speak German, English, French, and Arabic all fluently
I play all kinds of sport, go to the gym, love cooking and baking, and am always down for hikes and game/movie nights. I have a Nintendo switch, a couple of board games, and a gamping laptop. I'm very flexible between being independent and blending in with my roomates. I don't smoke and practically never drink alcohol, and while I always organize get-togethers and invite friends to my place, I'm not at all the party-type.
For me, one of the most important things in a WG (and life) is open communication. Communication is critical in maintaining the other important aspect of a WG in my opinion: a balance between flexibility and order. While I don't think being friends in a WG is absolutely necessary, I've become VERY good friends with most of the flatmates I've had so far. I do think that flatmates should definetly not be strangers to each other.
I'm not going to tell you not copy-paste or any of that nonsense. I know how it is. As long as your message has soul in it and shows your character, it's fine by me. Bonus points if you can somehow show you read most of what I wrote. Pictures that give a good impression of you are VERY welcome. I'd prefer you send pictures directly instead of your Instas. It's faster, and I don't really want to follow everyone on instagram or wait for you to accept my follow request.
Since we'd all be sharing responsibility for the apartment, it's important for me to choose people I feel are reliable, so I won't be considering anyone who doesn't elaborate on their financial situation and income. Supporting documents like Schufa (solicitar ahora) and payment slips/work contract will be needed eventually, so sending them straight away would be good, but at least put all the necessary infos in your text if you're worried about sending documents. I don't want want to exclude students straight up, but If you don't have a decent paying job, I'd need convincing evidence about your financial reliability.
