The room is about 16 square meters and it's very bright. It has a wooden floor and a huge window on two side of the room. It comes furnished (bed, desk + chair, wardrobe with mirror, shelves) but it's possible to replace the furniture and eventually and bring your own.
The apartment is fully furnished (washing Maschine, dish washer, oven, drying rack, pots and pans, cutlery and so on.) Everybody obviously has to be part of keeping the things and the apartment nice and clean.
It's super well connected as located near U7 station Adenauerplatz. Furthermore, Kurfurstendamm is 100m away, where there are a lot of busses (M19 and M29 ) and 5 minutes by foot from stations of S-Bahn Charlottemburg (useful for crossing the city rapidly, or going to the airport), and by bus to Uhlandstraße U1 and Hallensee (Ringbahn).
The building is located in a secondary street, and it's super quiet. There's a Finanzamt in front of it, therefore there is total privacy from the window in the evening. Best feature the flat is literally 50m away from a Penny supermarket, and a Fit X gym is a few meters after (which is open 24h).
There are also a lot of bars and restaurants nearby and the Schaubühne of Lehniner Platz.
What I personally liked about Charlottemburg and this area specifically is that even if you go out in the night, you come home in the weekend and it's super quiet, clean and safe. Between S-bahn and busses I usually was able to come home easily from kreuzberg or friedrichshain even in the late night.
The people living in the apartment are really friendly. It's an international crowd. In the past we often eat together and I met a lot of people through my flatmates here, although if you are busy or doing your stuff and prefer to have more time to yourself, nobody is going to stop you of course.
At the moment two guys are living here: Louis, who's from France and working in a startup, and Elyas, who's from Syria and work in a restaurant.
The agency who manages the flat has also a network between all the other flats and organizes some event for getting to know each other from time to time.
I'm moving out quite soon, therefore looking for somebody to replace me ideally already starting next week. I'll make a first selection via mail and organize visits in the weekend. You have definitely more chances to be invited if you write an introduction about yourself: age/nationality, what you do here in Berlin, from when are you looking for a place, and for long you are planning to stay here.
