Flat Details
3 bedroom ground floor flat. Mini lounge / chill area / living room at the end of the hall. All bedrooms are spacious so we usually tend to 'lounge' in our own rooms :) The kitchen is equipped with everything you could need (dishwasher, fridge, microwave, a table to sit around, etc.) Bathroom includes both bath & shower. (Shower filter for softer hair! :)
Room Details
Lofty & spacious room. Fully furnished & decorated. Own lounge area. Separated bedroom area. Queen size bed. Desk. Shelves. Cupboards. Dressing table. Clothes rail. Clothes drying rack. + more!
FANTASTIC location! Quiet cute cobbled street, just off convenient Frankfurter Allee. We have a great little cafe / bar as our local on the corner (quite the creative hub for film-makers, artists, musicians, writers, etc. Putting on 'Comedy Nights' & occasional low key independent gigs for the 'struggling artist' & so forth :) Loads of Spätis sprinkled about the place (including all night). A fab selection of supermarkets close by (Edeka, Netto, Rewe, Lidl, Aldi, Kaufland..) Shopping in the hood is a dream (actually dangerous! Too many cool little independent clothing labels & vintage stores you sometimes even need to avoid - in case you pop out for milk & accidentally return home with a frock or record or two! :) Plus the Ring-Center consisting of many commercial brands. Boxhagener Platz is only a few blocks away, with a Farmers Market on Saturdays, a Vintage market on Sundays & just a prime spot to catch some sun. Parks, greenery & more parks around us (almost every second block or so). Countless restaurants, cafes, bars & clubs are all within walking distance.
Transport Details
Friedrichshain really is the best location, centred between the other popular areas of Kreuzberg, Mitte & Prenzlauer Berg - so all really easy to get to. Great transport links: 3 min Samariterstraße (U5). 5 min Frankfurter Allee (Ring S-bahn). 12 min Warshauerstraße (U1, U3, S75, S3, S5, S9 S-bahn) plus trams. Parking is available.
Looking for easy going, responsible, TRUSTWORTHY & CLEAN person ~ TO SUBLET
(whilst one of us is in Australia.)
You will be sharing with two friendly, well-travelled, kind-natured, young-minded women (German + British ~ International 'Women of the World' :) + 1 cool CAT!
Hoping to find someone like-minded, who can bring the right energy to our dynamic during your time here. A happy & harmonious temporary 'HOME' (not a hotel :) Somewhere everyone feels comfortable to be themselves, & are considerate & respectful of each other. Each with their own independent but complimentary lifestyles, it would be nice to sit down to the occasional glass of wine / meal together ~ have banter / exchange tales ..just have a good vibe soulful connection with one another.. :) At the same time though, recognising each other's need for space, freedom to do own things as well. Everyone has their own lives to lead.. Is just important to have happy, healthy communicative relationships with the people we surround ourselves with so it sure would be sweet for there to be some kind of warm easy-breezy kinship ~ actually caring for one another, sharing a home together. Pls care for our HOME! x
Nina works long hours as an Executive Assistant. In her time off, you can catch her having a drink at a bar, volunteering at one of the local football teams on game days, attending art shows, concerts, swimming, watching football (American), practicing Yoga, travelling the world & enjoying all different kinds of in- & outdoor activities. She is also a certified scuba diver & loves to spend time in the water.
Gen is a native Londoner, likes whisky and tends to walk everywhere. Works as a User Experience Researcher with a management consultancy with normal office hours (occasionally works from home.) She travels a lot.. another two trips planned between now & before your stay :)
Both very sociable people but want to come home from longs days of work to 'sanctuary' & 'cosy bliss', so not having a noisy party house is important. Been there, done that! We be 'Elders' now :P Non smokers. Both fully vaccinated.
Patrice is an outdoor cat so not a 'catty flat'. No smelly kitty litter or cat hair everywhere. He's an old man these days & just tends to mooch about, sleeping. (When he's not out in his 'jungle' pretending he's a lion :) He has a wicked purr! Will purr over anything! He sees his role in the home as 'Protector'.
& moi? The one setting off on a long-overdue trip back to Australia to see her family? I've lived in this flat almost 10 years & put a lot of LOVE into it! (I'm the 'home maker' :) As such, my room is very full of 'Skye'. Things I've collected from around the world.. A bursting wardrobe from the years I worked in fashion (mostly vintage).. books, books, books.. I will clear as much space as I can for you for sure. This is a situation however, where you will be temporarily living in someone else's room (with her things :) It's suited to someone who has understanding around that. Who won't bring too much stuff or need massive amounts of storage room. You won't find minimalism here. More a stylish Bohemian Treasure Trove. I'm a sentimentalist. A collector. An organiser. You'll note throughout the entire flat how 'organised' everything is. So whilst I have a lot of stuff in my room, I'm still a typical Virgo in terms of cleanliness, organisation, making things look beautiful. What's more, the room is HUGE! (More space than a 'minimalist' 18m sq room!)
Btw, of all the travels we three do, none of us have ever sublet our rooms. This is a one -off opportunity.
This set-up is an absolute perfect 'starting point' for someone moving to Berlin or..? Who craves to weave the streets of the ever cool cosmopolitan area we're so conveniently situated in. Who wants lovely hearts to come home to (Nina & Gen are the best for girly chit-chats!) Who is up for cat cuddles. Who just desires staying in a well-loved beautiful space.
& of course, someone who will have no problems making onward plans upon my return (yes, soz about that part ;)
~ Someone who is happy to have made some FRIENDS! (..& just have a scrumptiously special time in Berlin :) xXx
Is this YOU?! :)
UPDATE TO AD:
The room is available from February 19th. However, Gen is actually away now until Feb 18th ~ so if anyone needed somewhere sooner, there's the possibility to stay in Gen's room until Skye's room's free! It's a little smaller (20 m sq), so it will actually be cheaper! (€16 / day.) It could be like 'room musical chairs' :) The 1 month minimum would need to be for Skye's room though. Gen's room offer is a bonus. To help anyone out needing somewhere sooner rather than later.. :)
(& don't worry, Gen's up for some kind of video chat at some point.. No one needs to share a home with anyone they've never met! Alles gut : )
If interested, please write us a big long 'spiel' with detailed information about yourself (to give us a good idea of the kind of person you are) & to arrange a possible viewing. (Hint: the more vivid description of yourself, the better. You'll need to tick some of our boxes before we invite you over for a cuppa & chat :)
~ Nina, Gen, Skye & Patrice Cat x
(Anmeldung not possible unfortunately but happy to provide a sublet contract.)
