We are looking for someone to take over a bright, and airy room in our large and centrally located WG (Kreuzberg). There are four of us living here at the moment and we are looking for a fifth.
We are a cozy and quiet flat share, like to spend evenings together, watch movies in the kitchen, cook together or go on "treasure hunts" in Kreuzberg. We endeavour to make our WG a safe space for people of all genders, sexual orientations and other ways of being. We are not all cis/hetero and appreciate queer-feminist perspectives. If you share these values and would like to join our little international family (we are all from different countries), you will feel right at home here. Bonus points if you're a good cook and like to keep your flat clean!
We occasionally have children in here, because one flatmate is a parent. So if your like to share the flat on for one weekend per month with kids at age of 5-8, your right in here:)
We all have rather different daily rhythms, so it is important that you are highly considerate and preferably have some experience living with others. Communication goes a long way.
The room is 9sqm (but feels bigger than that!). The rest of the apartment is very roomy. There's a shared balcony which is often graced by the presence of our resident squirrel!
We are not a Zweck-Wg and we are looking for someone in it for the long term; we have made a conscious decision to live together because we believe that sharing a home with others with very different backgrounds is both enriching and fun. What connects us all is a shared attitude of radical acceptance. We respect one another despite differences of opinion since there is a foundation of trust and a willingness to think critically about how, for instance, our social positioning in power structures shapes our experiences and biases.
For us to get a better idea of who you are, it would be great if you could answer the following questions:

Though the WG is multilingual (English/German are the main ones, but we speak Icelandic and Polish too!), English is our shared language so it is crucial that you are comfortable expressing yourself in English."
