I'm renting my small but cozy room in a pleasent neighborhood in Moabit not very far from U-Birkenstraße and S-Westhafen for the whole March. It comes furnished, so with a bed, (maybe mattress, will decide tomorrow), table, chair, shelf and some storage space. It's in ground floor, but still not too noisy as the Stephanstraße is rather quiet, especially at night (there is also an opaque curtain and solid window shutters). The room is on the street-side but therefore gets some light and sun. I also installed curtains to seperate the room within itself for working hours, etc.
The flat in generall is rather small but functional. Kitchen is well equiped (washing machine) with shared items which we handle respectfully. There is also has a propper table to have a meal in the kitchen. Bathroom is small but also totally functional and cause of the 80s tiles a bit romantic too.
The flat is on ground floor but still not very barrier free because of a rather narrow entrance door and about 5cm high edges to the flat entrance and to the room itself.
U Birkenstraße and S Westhafen are about 9min walk. Bus stations, for example for M27 are 3 minutes. Some few sweet cafes and bars are around, mainly towards Birkenstraße. A big Edeka is also 8min walk, a Lidl 7min, Spätis 3 min, Hellweg 6min.
Wedding is very close with the canal and lovely Nordhafenpark. Also the main station and rest of Mitte is pretty close.
We've lived together with the 3 of us for 4 years now and got along with each other pretty well sharing the same home. Both, Frieda and Julia are currently studying and enjoying time off with friends, concerts, sports etc. Some shared drink came by from time to time but common activities didn't happen too much neither. If there's a problem we have a pretty open communication to sort things out. Wanna listen to music on speakers in the evening, give it a little knock on the door and ask whether thats alright for everyone else. Partys happen every few months rather than every few weeks.
There is also a rotating cleaning plan for the shared spaces. A clean and respectfull surrounding is important for us. So please don't hesitate bringing out the trash regulary :)
