I would like to offer my room to someone in need of a quiet, creative space. It's a beautifully bright room in Moabit, with high ceilings and plenty of sunlight – perfect for reading, drawing, thinking, and working. The room has a double bed, and is furnished with books, plants, and artwork. There's a large desk, an easel, and lots of floor space for yoga. There's also a Juliet balcony looking out on to the street which is lined with trees.
In general the area is a peaceful retreat from the rest of the city. There's plenty of green areas to explore along the river, lots of cafés, Turkish and Indian supermarkets, and German bakeries.
Our apartment is really well connected. Located directly in between U-Bahn stations Turmstrasse and Hansaplatz, both on the U9. S-Bahn stops Tiergarten and Bellevue (S3, S5, S7 and S9) aren't far - just a short walk down the river.
We're in a really good spot for airport connections. For Tegel, take a 10 min walk to the bus stop, hop on the TXL bus, and ride 4 stops. For Schönefeld, take the S9 from S-Bahn station Tiergarten.
I share my flat with, Alex and Susie (a long-term couple), their baby boy, Mucki, and script-writer, Micaela. We're all in our 30's apart from Mucki, he's nearly 2. My housemates are all extremely friendly, tidy and considerate people. Although you're not expected to entertain, or clean up after our smallest housemate, you should enjoy children, and be comfortable with the spontaneity that children bring. Alex, Susie, and Mucki's bedroom is situated at the other side of the apartment, so there's no need to worry about unexpected baby noises.
Obviously, this is not a party house, and my flat mates work regular hours, so things are pretty quiet around here after 10pm. We have a lovely shared living room space, and like to cook and eat together on occasion.
As well as the usual amenities (oven, electric stove), the kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher, a large fridge, a digital radio and a beautiful wooden table. We share one main bathroom which has a toilet, bath-tub and a shower. There's also a separately roomed toilet.
My room is available between the 6th April - 1st June, and there is a possibility the extend this time, if things work out.
