Hi! We offer a room in our 3 person WG from the first of September. The room sits off of the living room of our flat, and is west facing. The current tenant moves to London for education and thus will be looking to sell most of the furniture in the room. The room is 15.5m^2s. The rent is all inclusive, there is no main tenant and we all have a contract with the landlord (anmeldung possible).
The flat has a large shared living room, where we of course have people over to share a meal. We also have a spacious kitchen with the double sink and a large gas range, and also plenty of storage.
Moabit is beautiful, and so is our street. We sit off of the main street (turmstrasse) where there is no traffic beside parking. Waldstrasse sits as a nice greenspace going north, where a nice drink can occasionally be had. For transportation, a 2-3 minute walk from our door has you to busses like the TXL to take you 2 stops to hauptbahnhof, or you can take a quick bus/walk to the turmstrasse ubahn station to travel elsewhere. Additionally, a 10 minute walk north has you at beusselstrasse to take the ring.
Moabit is wonderful in terms of amenities, we sit between two rewes (1 block away), in addition to other grocery stores in the area. Below the flat is a wonderful cafes, with other cafes etc in the area.
I (Ghislain) work as sofware engineer, currently working mostly from home. On my free time, I enjoy reading, playing video games, taking photography, DIYing with wood, cycling...
I value also open communication and exchanges of ideas.
I (Bradley) work as a Phd student, have been in Berlin for three years now. In my free time I'm mostly out and about, in nature as much as possible, but also play the occasional game, and random cooking experiment with a friend.
We are looking for someone with a positive mindset, who wants to help making the flat homely, rather than just a room to rent. We each like to have our own time, but value some shared moments (a meal or a drink together now and then, movie or game nights...). We also want someone to whom the flat's cleanliness is important, we have a cleaning rota but someone who wants to love the place they live would be helpful.
We have a building that is friendly, and have never had issues with the neighbors.
