Das Zimmer ist unmöbliert, ca. 17 qm groß, hat ein großes Fenster in Richtung Süd-Osten und ist dementsprechend sehr hell. Wenn deine Zimmerpflanzen also Sonne brauchen werden sie diese hier bekommen. Da das Fenster direkt zur Pannierstr. raus ist, hört man bei offenem Fenster den Verkehr und das Treiben auf der Straße. Wenn das Fenster geschlossen ist, hört man allerdings nichts mehr.
Die komplette Wohnung wurde 2021 komplett neu renoviert und ist also in einem ziemlich guten Zustand (neue Küche, Fenster, Türen, Böden, Fliesen etc.). Wir haben einen tollen geräumigen und ruhigen Balkon nach hinten raus, auf welchen man durch mein Zimmer gehen kann.
Eine kleine Besonderheit an dieser Wohnung ist, dass wir keine Zentral- oder Etagenheizung haben. Die Zimmer haben beide jeweils einen großen Ofen mit dem wir im Winter mit Holzbriketts heizen (ja, sowas gibt es 2024 noch...). D. h. dass man nicht einfach einen Regler auf oder zu drehen kann, sondern erst ein Feuer im Ofen anmachen und dann regelmäßig ca. einmal in der Stunde Holzbriketts nachlegen muss, um den Raum warm zu bekommen/halten. Nachteile: Es dauert ca. eine halbe Stunde bis es richtig warm wird und wir müssen halt Holzbriketts einkaufen und diese im Wandschrank und Keller lagern. Vorteile: Die romantische cozy Stimmung wenn der Ofen an ist, ordentliche Ersparnis bei Heizkosten, Unabhängigkeit von Gaspreisen, relativ nachhaltige Wärme (Holzbriketts bestehen aus zusammengepressten Sägespänen aus Sägewerken und sind somit aus nachhaltiger Biomasse. THG-Emissionen bei einer Erdgasheizung sind im Vergleich deutlich deutlich höher.). Im Bad und in der Küche haben wir jeweils eine elektrische Heizung mit Zeitschaltuhr, die im Winter morgens und abends automatisch angeht und außerhalb dieser Zeiten bei Bedarf auch manuell eingeschaltet werden kann.
Insgesamt muss man sich am Anfang ein bisschen daran gewöhnen mit dem Ofen und den Holzbriketts zu heizen. Nach einer Weile ist es aber kein Problem mehr :):)

The room (17 sqm) is unfurnished, has a big window in the direction of the south-east and is therefore really bright. If your plants need direct sunlight they will get it here. Since the window is also in the direction of the Pannierstr., one hears the traffic if the window is open. However, if the window is closed it is really quiet.
The apartment was renovated in 2021 and is therefore in pretty good condition. We have a spacious and quite balcony in direction of the back-yard which is accessible from my room.
A small peculiarity of this apartment is that we don't have central or floor heating. Each room has a large stove with which we heat in winter using wood briquettes (yes, such things still exist in 2024...). This means that you can't simply adjust a dial up or down; instead, you have to light a fire in the stove and then regularly add wood briquettes about once an hour to keep the room warm. Disadvantages: It takes about half an hour until it gets properly warm, and we have to buy wood briquettes and store them in the wall cupboard and basement. Advantages: The romantic cozy atmosphere when the stove is on, significant savings on heating costs, independence from gas prices, sustainable warmth (wood briquettes are made from compressed sawdust from sawmills and are therefore made from sustainable biomass. GHG emissions from a natural gas heater are significantly higher in comparison.). In the bathroom and kitchen, we have electric heaters with a timer that automatically turns on in the morning and evening in winter, and can also be manually activated outside of these times if needed.
All in all, it takes time to get used to heating with the furnace and wood briquettes. However, after some time it is no real problem anymore :):)
Die Wohnung befindet sich in NK an der Grenze zu Kreuzberg in der Pannierstraße. Von hier ist man in 2 min zu Fuß am Maybachufer oder in der Weserstr. In 5 min ist man am Paul-Lincke Ufer und in 10 min im Görli. Im Kiez gibt es sehr viele gute und auch günstige Restaurants, Cafes & Bars.
Die nächsten Ubahn Stationen sind Schönleinstr. und Hermannplatz. Dort hin muss man ca. 10 min laufen. Der 194er und der M29 fahren dafür direkt vor der Haustür ab (1 min Fußweg).

The apartment is located in NK at the border to Kreuzberg in the Pannierstr. From here it is a 2 min walk to the Maybachufer or the Weserstr. To the Paul-Lincke Ufer it takes 2 mins and to the Görli it takes around 10 min.
The nearest UBahn stations are Schönleinstr. and Hermannplatz. To both it is a 10 min walk. The 194 and M29 busses depart right in front our front door (1 min walk).
Ich bin Lennart, 28 Jahre alt, studiere an der TU Berlin im Master und bin auf der Suche nach einem*r entspannten Mitbewohner*in für ein freundschaftliches Zusammenwohnen. In anderen Worten, ich bin nicht(!) auf der Suche nach einer Zweck-WG, sondern nach jemandem, mit dem oder der es vibt!
