Hi!! This lovely room in Neukölln is 18 metres squared, heated and comes with a desk, a double bed, a desk lamp and a standing lamp, a large standing wardrobe. The room is complete with a rug and all the sheets necessary for the bed, should you not have your own.
The rest of the apartment is very cosy. There is a hallway connecting all 7 rooms, including the four bedrooms, two bathrooms and the kitchen. One of the bathrooms comes with a bath, and we are very friendly about its use. The kitchen has all the necessary cutlery, crockery and appliances that one would need in a kitchen, and comes complete with space for food, both in cupboards and in the fridge.
The flat, with a lovely view of the canal, is situated in the perfect central location for almost anyone in Berlin. Less than 5 minute's walk from several supermarkets, the U8 at Schönleinstraße, and very good restaurants and stores all along the riverfront and riddled throughout the district.
The room is very cosy, with a view of the markets that come every Tuesday, Friday and Saturday, as well as more markets further along the bank on other days. They sell fresh produce and hand-crafted goods on the weekdays, and the Saturday market sells vintage clothes, as well as hand-crafted goods.
Life in the WG is quiet and industrious. The remaining flatmates (minus me) are all music students at the same university. We all come from diverse backgrounds (I myself am from New Zealand), and so we all communicate in English. German is not typically spoken in the flat as not everyone has fluency, though German speakers are more than welcome!
We are LGBTQI+ inclusive, accepting of all creeds, religions, and nationalities, of course. We are a positive and friendly flat, and do not tolerate gender, racial or sexual discrimination.
Note about rent: The "Kaltmiete" as it is listed is in fact the Warmmiete. However, it is not possible to pay the rent without also paying for the utilities, as all utilities are provided by the landlord, so it is therefore listed as "Kaltmiete". Utilities included are water, power, internet and heating.
The renter has no strict duties to the landlord, other than to keep the space clean. This includes not smoking indoors, though you are welcome to in the garden or outside the complex.
Contact is preferraby established through Whatsapp, using my contact details in the posting. If you end up getting the room, signing on to the contract will then be done through the Hauptmieterin/ head tenant, who will give you her contact details.
Viewings will be available until the end of May, or until a keen person is found.
