The apartment is in Neukölln, relatively close to the canal and right around the corner you have Rixdorf and Böhmischerplatz which has a nice community feel to it. Also close by is Weserstrasse which has a lot of bars, cafes, vintage shops, etc.
The M41 bus stop is right in front of the building, and you're about 10 minutes from the S-Bahn which gets you around the city very easily. The closest grocery store is Rewe which is about 5 minute walk.
My wonderful roommates are Jana and Max, who both grew up in southern France and they both speak fluent German as well. They are friendly, open, and very easy-going.
