I am subletting a room in my apartment in Florakiez from now (or as soon as possible) until the end of August. Dates, especially the move-in date, are somewhat flexible. The price for everything (including internet) is 595 a month, and there is a 500 euro deposit.
The room is about 18m2 with a balcony (pictured). There is a ladder up to a Hochbett where there is some extra space. The apartment comes fully furnished, but largely emptied of stuff - so there is plenty of storage space. There is a washing machine, dishwasher, and fully equipped kitchen.
The building is less than 10 minutes walk from the U2, M1 tram, and both the S1 and S2 lines. There is a Rewe and Lidl within a few minutes walk. Also 10 minutes walk from Bürgerpark Pankow.
I am a 35 year old Irish guy, in my 8th year (God help me) of a PhD at the University of Chicago. Looking for someone responsible, friendly, and who knows how to live with other people. I can speak German (B2-C1) but I'm a bit out of practice.

Ich vermiete ab sofort (oder so bald wie möglich) bis Ende August ein Zimmer in meiner Wohnung im Florakiez zur Untermiete. Die Daten, insbesondere das Einzugsdatum, sind etwas flexibel. Der Preis für alles (einschließlich Internet) ist 595 pro Monat, und es gibt eine Kaution von 500 Euro.
Das Zimmer ist etwa 18m2 groß und hat einen Balkon (siehe Bild). Es gibt eine Leiter hinauf zu einem Hochbett, wo es etwas mehr Platz gibt. Die Wohnung ist voll möbliert, aber weitgehend leergeräumt - es gibt also viel Stauraum. Es gibt eine Waschmaschine, einen Geschirrspüler und eine voll ausgestattete Küche.
Das Gebäude ist weniger als 10 Minuten zu Fuß von der U2, der Straßenbahn M1 und den beiden Linien S1 und S2 entfernt. Rewe und Lidl sind in wenigen Minuten zu Fuß zu erreichen. Auch 10 Minuten zu Fuß vom Bürgerpark Pankow.
Ich bin ein 35 Jahre alter Ire, in meinem 8. Jahr (Gott hilf mir) eines PhD an der University of Chicago. Ich suche jemanden, der verantwortungsbewusst und freundlich ist, und der weiß, wie man mit anderen Menschen lebt. Ich kann Deutsch sprechen (B2-C1), aber ich bin ein bisschen aus der Übung. Ich werde nicht vor Juli wieder in der Stadt sein, aber ein Freund von mir wird Besichtigungen abhalten. Persönliche Besichtigung oder Fernbesichtigung ist möglich.
