I'm looking for a roommate starting from June 13th 2021 in my beautiful fully equipped apartment in Prenzlauer Berg, one of the most charming neighborhoods in Berlin.
For rent is a 12m2 bright room in with own terrace access + 72m2 beautifully decorated common living spaces, two terraces and a grill, and Anmeldung is possible! I’m looking for preferably a long term roommate/tenant but will consider short term stay for now (ie. 2-6 months). If you're interested, please read further.
The room and rent:
• 12m2 room full of natural light, high ceiling and dark parquetted wooden floor
• Rent: 680€ warm (this price includes electricity, internet and a home insurance)
• Deposit: 1000e (this can be paid in 2 parts)
• Available from: 13.6.2021 (the start time can be negotiable a little bit)
• We will make an official subtenant contract, so Anmeldung is possible!
• Direct / own access to the backyard terrace from the room
• Wifi access
• Floor heating
• Metal shelf and a double mattress (120cm) included in the room if needed. I can get more furniture if needed.
• We will share 50/50 the ARD TV/radio payment and it’s not included in the rent
• You can storage things like bedlinens or seasonal clothes to the other half of a big closet located in my room
Your requirements:
• Gender doesn’t matter and this flat is LQBT friendly
• Must have a job and earn enough salary to afford the rent (preferably the 1/3 rule)
• Tidy, respectful and friendly tenant
• No crazy partying in the flat (after all Berlin is full of clubs…)
• Willing to share roommate responsibilities like weekly cleaning with me, buying common supplies etc.
• Located in the heart of Prenzlauer Berg right next to M1/M13/M50 tram lines and U2 Schönhauser Allee and Vinetastr. U-bahn / underground stations both just approx. 6 minute walk away
• Stores such as Netto, Schönhauser Allee Arcaden, Lidl and Rewe are all within a very short walking distance
• The neighborhood is cozy with plenty of cafes and restaurants in a walking distance and you feel really safe here
• This apartment is located in the more quiet back area of the building on the ground floor
• Pets are not allowed in this flat unfortunately.
• 72m2 of furnished common living spaces, high Altbau ceilings and parquetted floor throughout the apartment
• Big and full kitchen with a dining table for 6 people, dish washer, induction stove with convection oven, refrigerator and a freezer, toaster, everything you need for cooking and baking (pots, pans, mixer, measure cups etc.), plates, cups, glasses, silverware freely in your use. Access to the backyard terrace from the kitchen.
• Beautifully decorated spacious and cozy living room with an access to the large front yard terrace
• Home office possibility especially during Covid-19 in the living room with room for two working spots (I work from home now). You need to bring your own desk and chair though.
• Spacious modern bathroom with both shower and a bathtub, heated tile floors and some storage space
• Utility closet with a washing machine for laundry
• Two big terraces: one in the front of the building (entrance from the living room) and one in the back to a shared garden (entrance from the kitchen and the bedrooms) with a little table set for two people. The backyard terrace has also an electric grill which can be used anytime.
• Bike shed in the main building
• Overnight visitors are welcome in the living room occasionally if we both agree on it (but keep in mind I work there for now)
• Projector for watching movies
About me:
You would be sharing the apartment with me, a 38 year old Finnish woman working in online marketing. I speak English, Finnish and a little bit of German and Swedish. English would be our main communication language though. I’m an outgoing, open minded person who enjoys chatting, hanging out and being friendly with my subtenant but I also know how to give space when needed. My interests are in music, fashion, photography, travel and nature. The main thing is that we get along and that both take responsibility to maintain the apartment in order. I have lived 10 years in Berlin so I can give a lot of tips about the area and the city in general.
