Hello everyone, I'll be out of Berlin from the 14th of January to the 10th of February and I will be renting my room out during that time. The room is in a WG with 4 other lovely people, however as you can see from the floorplan, it's a big, two floor apartment with 2 bathrooms, so it never feels cramped. It's a newer building down on the lake, literally across the street from the S-Bahn Rummelsburg station, and Ostkreuz is only a ten minute walk way, or a 37 minute crawl, if you felt so inclined.
The apartment is on the second and third floor of the building, and this is one of the seven buildings in Berlin with an elevator, so that's pretty neat. The room is about 12 square meters, and it's important to note that while there is a bed it is different than the one in the picture. Same size, 140X200, the room is just a mess of boxes now that I've moved in and is hardly photogenic, so I've used the photos from before I've moved in. The room also has a desk, chair, and once I get to IKEA, a dresser and shelves. While everyone here can speak some German, the main language of the flat is definitely English, and please be 25 years old or older if you wanna apply.
Deposit is 300 Euros, and I'll be trying to do casting over the weekend, so PM me if you're interested and/or have any questions. The exact days are also flexible. In other words, if you don't quite need every single day, I wont charge you for the few days you don't need.
As I mentioned it's a short walk from the Ostkreuz Ringbahn station, but the M12 tram and the S3 (Rummelsburg) are just downstairs from the apartment. I'm sure there's some bus connections or another but honestly I never use the bus if I can help it so I wouldn't know off the top of my head. There's a grocery store in the next building over, and a Kaufland (a very, very large grocery store) a ten/twelve minute walk away. The area is close to many cool places, but the flat itself is located in a nice, quiet area down by the water.
As mentioned this is a 5 person WG, there are two couples that live here other than you. One of which is usually playing some sort of heavy metal music, but they always have their music off at a respectable time, as you would be expected to. This isn't a party flat, though nobody is opposed to you having guests over (there's a whatsapp group where we share info on stuff like that) or whatnot. Honestly everyone here is very chill and very relaxed. Some of them work from home and some of them you'll hardly see. Depends on the week, honestly.
Also, since there's 2 bathrooms there's never a line for the toilet and honestly that's really great. There's a living room and a balcony so there's lots of space. There's someone who comes to clean once a week so that's also super convenient, honestly, though you are expected to tidy up after yourself in between.
I mean honestly what more do you need to know? This is a one month deal, no registration and no extensions, perfect if you're looking for somewhere temporary and/or just buying time till you can find something long term.
