Your room is on the 2nd floor of a central appartment with good connections. It has high ceiling, plenty of walls for posters and art, huge windows with lots of sunlight during the day, unfurnished 25 m2 and can easily be filled with love. Elsewhere in the appartment, it is pretty much ready to live, we have a bath, a sofa in the living room for guests, a balcony to chill out in the evenings, a fully equipped kitchen for smoothies and soups :P
Since the room is unfurnished, we can lend you a pillow, a matrass and a lamp, a plant, a poster to get you started, if you move in completely empty ! Please ask for any further details) the way your room will look is totally up to your imagination ✨🌌
we're in Zehlendorf. people say it’s amongst the top 4 most relaxed Kiez 💛. There are many parks and green spaces around, with people living a relaxed life. Perfect location for Freie Universität, pretty chill for anywhere else too, since S1 Zehlendorf train station is 7 min walk away and many buses (i.e. X10 for zoo; 101 for FU etc) are right next to our door.
We live on the main shopping street, so there‘s a Rewe, dm, Bio company all really close by, an Edeka, Aldi, Lidl all also within 10 min. An amazing new vegan place for bowls and wraps recently openned up, a bar with pool tables (yes in zehlendorf!), pharmacy, printing place, basketball area all close by !
We want someone join us long term, so think this through and let us know location suits your needs 🐋
We are Felix, Leon, Diego & Caitlin at the moment and are all young adults studying / working / hustling in this big city. Besides that we have a bunch of creative hobbies that we live out at home or outside.
Here are a few collected : listening to a lot of music, poetry, basketball, techno, hula hoops, producing music, psy trance, flow arts, chess, swimming, dancing tango, reading, sharing food, ice rink skating, festivals, going for a drink, exploring the city, bicycles, raves, yoga, meditation.
We really want to have a relaxed communal atmosphere, share, enjoy coming home, have company, invite friends, experience things together, do things together and leave each other alone and take care or retreat. Clear communication is important to us and if something bothers you, just say it and don't swallow it. Other than that, feel free to be you as long as you are considerate and don‘t blast music at 3 am!
We share many ingredients in the kitchen and you will find plenty of pots + pans, but we expect you to be clean up after yourself in the kitchen, take out the trash when it is full and generally take care of the house even when it‘s not necessary your turn on the cleaning plan. Let‘s make an oasis. In general feel free to add things in the common areas, lights, posters, candles, plants are all encouraged.
We listen and play to a lot: psy, afrobeats, jazz, tango, dub, rap, drums, guitars, d&b, dubstep, lo-fi, rnb, classical, blues... Ocasionally, we throw a party (hopefully after the whole covid situation we can again!). There‘s currently DJ equipment around which you could borrow to practise, a mic to record a song also and Felix wants to get an electric bass soon.
The caution for our landlord is 820€, which is ~ 3 months of cold rent and you will sign into the main contract with everyone, so you get anmeldung (yes this is true, you will get it). We all split for electricity and internet every month, which comes out to around 30€ electricity & 8€ internet. Hope to switch to green energy for next year cos we love our planet.
We're looking for somebody who's kind-hearted and would be hopefully become a friend, maybe go to a park together and share food, adventures.
