I am moving out of my big and beautiful room and WG to move in with my partner - exciting but tough to give up this lovely space! The room is really like an apartment within the larger apartment, with a separate bedroom/living room area it’s perfect for someone who works from home and/or needs lots of physical space for activity or creative projects. The big windows let in plenty of light, and heaters warm the room up quickly in winter.
Almost all of the furniture belongs to the flat, with the exception of one of those chairs, and the white dresser which I bought but can’t take with me - if you’d like to keep it we can negotiate a price, or I can find another home for it. :)
The flat is huge, and therefore comfortable for all 8 of us - there are 2 1/2 bathrooms, multiple storage closets, a huge kitchen and living room, two fridges, a walk-in pantry, etc …
There are plentiful options for redecorating (hanging curtains, etc.) with items we already have in the house - much of the furniture is communal and we swap pieces with one another often.
The Schöneberger Südgelände, Alboinplatz and Bosepark are nearby and nice for a walk or run - Tempelhofer Feld is 10-15 mins away by bike. Buses around the corner from the front door, 3 minutes or less on foot, bring you to S-Bahn Tempelhof or Priesterweg in 10 minutes or so. U-Bahn Kaiserin-Augusta-Straße is 10-15 minutes away on foot, and with the U6 from there you’ll quickly reach Kreuzberg, Mitte, and Wedding.
We are 8 friendly humans: Hannah, Tina, Charlotte, Vilhelm, Geert, Eike, and Antonin. Some are still studying full-time, some working full-time, and some a combo. The flat is so huge that it’s not hard to achieve a sense of privacy in your own room, but when you’re feeling social hang out in the kitchen/living room, text in the group chat to meet up for a drink or make a big shaded dinner together.
I am slowly moving things into my new apartment and hope to be ready to be there permanently by October 15-18. The move-in date is flexible. I have already paid the rent for October, so would just ask for half the months rent if you move in at that time.
10 of the €760 goes to pay Petra, who comes to clean the communal spaces once a week! It’s very luxurious ~
