Hi everyone!
I'm looking for a new flatmate for the next 4-6 months, since my present flatmate is leaving Berlin at the end of this month. Anmeldung is NOT possible since the new landlord isn't adding new people to the contract.
The room will be available from 01.06.24. Warm rent is €500 INCLUDING electricity, heating, water and high speed WiFi (cheap since it's a studentwerk).
More about the room/apartment:
• The room itself is 13m², and is part of a 40m² double apartment. It is fully furnished with a bed, cupboard, desk, bedside table and 2 bookshelves. I will be occupying the other room. The apartment is on the 1st floor.
• The room is private while my room is in a durchgangzimmer.
• Bathroom, kitchen and hallway are shared.
• The building has a laundry room with multiple washing machines and dryers.
• The kitchen is fully equipped. Crockery, knives, refrigerator, mini-oven, microwave, exhaust hood, blender etc.
• There is a common barbeque area at the roof of the building usable by all tenants.
• Bicycle storage area is available to all tenants.
• The apartment is located in Wedding/Mitte 13353. It is less than 5mins walking distance from S+U Wedding (U6 and Ring-bahn) and U Leopoldplatz (U6&U9). Bus routes 142, 147, 221, 120, 247 and 347 pass nearby.
• Edeka, Rewe, Penny, Netto, Go Asia and many Turkish supermarkets are less than 5mins away on foot.
•Multiple fast food shops, cafes, bars and Spätis are in the vicinity as well.
• The Seestraße Stadt swimming pool, Schillerpark bowling alley and Volkspark are within walking distance.
• The Eschenbrau Brewery is just downstairs and is within the premises.
Other than you, i will be the only one sharing the apartment. I am currently pursuing my Ph.D at the Humboldt Universität for now. My working hours vary a lot, but usually between 0900-2200hrs. I love cooking and am adept at making practically most kinds of cuisines. I am pretty laid back, but i like to keep my apartment clean and organised though, which is something i expect from my next flatmate as well (especially the common areas) as i detest clutter. I would also prefer us doing a light cleaning of the apartment every second weekend
I am looking for someone who is like minded like me, with a tolerant and liberal point of view towards life, and is fine with all forms of food being brought into/cooked in the apartment. I don't mind night owls as I am one myself, but I do prefer my own space from time to time.
Some things before renting:
• Proof of income/presence of a blocked account is needed. Preferably proof that you regularly paid your previous rents on time as well.
• The security deposit is €750, but can be sent AFTER everything has been settled between us and I have shown you the apartment.
•The viewing will be online. I would also like a look at your social media just to get to know who you are as a person.
• Minimum tenancy is 4 months.
