- Gemeinsame Räume: Bad, Küche, sonniger Loggia. Viel Platz für Pflanzen - ich bin noch nicht dazu gekommen, so viele zu finden.

Über mich:
Ich bin 26 Jahre alt und arbeite als Solutions Engineer bei einem Software-Startup. Ich arbeite meistens von zu Hause. Ich bin ein “drittes Kulturkind”: Ich komme ursprünglich aus Südafrika, aber es ist etwas kompliziert. Ich spreche Deutsch (du kannst selbst von dieser Anzeige richten wie gut ich es spreche), Englisch, Afrikaans und Französisch (zumindest funktional). Ich mag sehr neue Sprachen lernen. Ich bin Christ und würde gerne mit einem Christen zusammenleben, aber ich habe auch sehr glücklich mit Menschen verschieden Überzeugungen zusammen gewohnt.
Ich bin Mitte 2020 nach Berlin gezogen und habe die Wohnung seit September letzten Jahres selbst eingerichtet. Ich weiß jetzt, wie man Lampenfassungen verkabelt und eine Küche baut, weil ich leider zu spät herausgefunden habe, dass deutsche Wohnungen nicht mit diesen kommen. Es hat eigentlich Spaß gemacht - ich mache gerne Sachen, besonders Dinge, die praktische Problemen lösen, wie magnetische Türstopps. Ich gehe bei jedem Wetter nach draußen - zum Laufen, Frisbee Spielen, oder noch was. Ich halte die Wohnung ziemlich ordentlich, Ich bin kein großartiger Koch, aber ich koche oft, weil ich essen muss, und ich koche lieber zusammen mit anderen. Wenn Corona es erlaubt, habe ich gern ab und zu Leute zum Essen oder ein kreatives Projekt zusammen zu machen, nur zum Spaß. Ich möchte meine Mitbewohner im Laufe des Zusammenlebens kennenlernen, und wenn möglich Freunden werden.

About me:
I’m 26 years old, employed as a solutions engineer at a software startup. I work from home most of the time. I am a “third-culture kid”: I’m from South Africa originally, but it’s a little complicated. I speak German (respectably, if not beautifully), English, Afrikaans and French (maybe not even respectably, but at least functionally). I love learning new languages! I am a Christian, and I would like to live with another Christian, but I have lived with people of a wide range of beliefs quite happily too.
I moved to Berlin mid-2020, and I set up the flat myself since September last year. I now know how to wire light sockets and build a kitchen, because I guess German flats don’t come with those. It was kind of fun though, because I love to make things, especially things that solve practical problems, like magnetic door stops. I like to go outside in any weather to run, play frisbee, or really anything, and I have several fairly neglected indoor hobbies too. I like to keep the flat quite tidy. I'm not a great cook, but I cook often because I have to eat and I prefer to cook with others. Corona-permitting, I like to have people over now and then for a meal or to do a creative project together just for fun. I like to get to know my flatmates in the course of living together, and if possible, become friends.
