Amerikanerin looking for long-term flat or house

Hallo, I am an American living and working in Berlin. I'm looking for either a shared room or an apartment with an Anmeldung for a long-term rental starting on or around June 1, 2025.

My German isn't strong (yet!), so I prefer to chat in English.

I have a few criteria for a potential roommate or roommates:
- keep shared spaces reasonably clean
- don't play loud music
- no cigarette smoking in the flat
- no racism, homophobia, etc.
- bonus points if you have a pet

About me:
- I'm a nerd who work at a comic store.
- I'm a minimalist, so I don't take up much space
- I'm very quiet and considerate. I listen to podcasts and music but with headphones on

I'm very independent and spend most of the day either at work or outside reading, watching movies, going to art museums or tourist sites, etc.

I'm not picky about the neighborhood as long as I'm close to public transportation. I have enjoyed living the most in Wedding and Moabit, but it's not required.
