Viel näher an der Uni kannst du kaum wohnen, in fünf Minuten bist du Fuß bereits da. Für die Sicherung des täglichen Bedarfes ist ein Markant um die Ecke, für ein paar Meter weiter kommst du auch zu einem Penny, den du bequem mit der Straßenbahn erreichen kannst. Die Haltestelle „Bültmannshof“ ist zu Fuß maximal fünf Minuten entfernt, sodass du auch schnell in die Innenstadt kommst.


You will hardly find a flat closer to uni, even by foot it's only five minutes. For covering your daily needs, a Markant supermarket is available nearby. If you are ready to do some more steps, you can also reach Penny (at Lohmannshof) which is can also be reached via tram. It takes about five minutes to the tram stop "Bültmannshof" which ensures you are also well connected to the city centre.

Du teilst dir die Wohnung zusammen mit Sarah (21), Knarik (25), Mehrdad (30) und Shivani (25). Da Sarah meist nicht da ist, würdet ihr praktisch zu viert zusammenleben. Die WG ist von jeher zweisprachig, d.h. es wird sowohl Deutsch als auch Englisch gesprochen. Da Mehrdad und Shivani eher Englisch sprechen, wäre es gut, wenn du die Sprache auch einigermaßen beherrschst. Aber keine Sorge, Oxford-Englisch ist nicht an der Tagesordnung :)

Die Wohnung ist in zwei Flure mit je eigenem Bad aufgeteilt. Dein möglicherweise zukünftiges Zimmer liegt im Flur von Mehrdad und Shivani. Mit diesen würdest du zusammen Toilette und Dusche nutzen und saubermachen. Die Küche wird von allen benutzt und dementsprechend von allen geputzt. Dazu gibt es einen Putzplan, der wöchentlich wechselt.

Alle haben einen einzelnen Küchenschrank und ein Fach im Kühlschrank, außerdem gibt es noch ein Regal in der Ecke, um Lebensmittel und anderes zu lagern. Es ist also reichlich Platz :)

Das WG-Leben ist entspannt und zwanglos. Ein wenig miteinander rumhängen oder Brettspiele ist immer mal drin, aber wenn du deine Ruhe haben willst, hat damit auch niemand ein Problem. Parties finden in der Wohnung nicht so oft statt, dafür aber im restlichen Wohnheim. Im Sommer sind die drei Balkone immer gut besucht und spontan Leute kennenzulernen geht hier immer.




Your possible future roommates are Sarah (21), Knarik (25), Mehrdad (30) und Shivani (25). As Sarah usually is not present, you would share the flat by four. The flat community is bilingual meaning we tend to switch between German and English.

The flat is seperated into two corridors with an own bathroom. The available room is located inside the corridor of Mehrdad and Shivani. With those two you would share a toilet and a shower which you three clean on your own. Kitchen is shared with everyone which is way everyone is responsible for cleaning it. We established a system of kitchen week: Once at a time, someone is responsible for cleaning the kitchen for seven days before it's someone else's turn.

Everyone has an own cupboard for storing food or whatever you like. Furthermore, you'd get one shelf in the fridge and could use shelf in the corner of the flat. As you can see, there is more space than enough space over here :)

Life together is relaxed and based on voluntariness. Hanging out in the kitchen or playing board games are typical activities but if you sometimes prefer to have some me-time nobody minds. Parties do not take place frequently in the flat itself, but in the student dorm you shouldn't have any problems to find some party willing people. Especially during summer, there always is something going on on the three balconies on top of the building. If you like to meet new people, that's your place to be :)

Die Miete ist unschlagbar günstig. In den 174,40 € ist alles drin, inklusive Strom, Internet und Nebenkosten. Eine Abrechnung gibt es nicht, du zahlst also nichts drauf. Wichtig: Du musst an der Universität Bielefeld oder der Fachhochschule eingeschrieben sein, um hier wohnen zu dürfen.

The rent is as cheaps as it gets. The 174,40 € you have to pay covers everything (also electricity and internet). Important note: You have to be an immatriculated student of either Bielefeld university or the University of Applied Sciences (Fachhochschule) in order to be allowed to live in the student dorm.
