In general, it is a very large modern flat near the Uni-Bonn Chemical Institute. As everything in Bonn, it is not far from the city center. You can connect with the 16 or 63 at the Am Propshof stop, which directly goes to Juridicum. You can also connect with the S23, which is a 8 min walk away and arrives at the Bonn hbf in 3 min. Lastly, you can take the 610 and 611 bus to Bonn hbf, which is about a 13 min ride. If you have a bike, then it's about a 10-20 min bike to the city center, depending on how you feel that day.
In this flat, I rent a single room. It is a WG, so you will have 2 male flatmates. Both are PhD students as well: both speak English and German. They're very easy going. They enjoy watching movies, talking non-sense and talking research. We are all non-smokers. There are no pets allowed in the flat. One enjoys playing soccer and going to the gym. The other likes memes, jokes, stupid movies and long walks.
I'd really like to leave my room in the hands of someone responsible. Someone who will be tidy and help around the flat in terms of cleaning. There's no obligation to be social, but definitely respectful! You can totally keep to yourself if you wish.
The flat is brand new and we're still in the process of making it "our own". For example, we still need to install some lights, a mirror, and we plan to buy a new TV and refrigerator. There is an elevator in the building. Also amazing insulation.
If you have your own furniture, I am happy to store my furniture elsewhere. It is not a problem.
For the room, I would also like pay stubs (Gehaltsabrechnung) for the last 3 months. If you're on a scholarship of some kind, then a letter from your department stating your financial arrangement should suffice. Just to verify you're able to pay for the flat.
