This beautiful room has large windows and direct access to a large balcony that makes the place super bright, cozy, and quiet. There are two bathrooms in the house, one with a toilet and shower, and a second one with just a guest toilet. The full bathroom is right next to this room and gives access to the balcony, which makes it easy for everyone to enjoy the balcony when it's nice out (hopefully at times together :) ) This room is in the 2nd story of the house and 3rd story of the building (our house begins on the second story of the building). The house is freshly renovated, in fact we are the first renters to occupy the place since it's renovation, which means the room and entire house are impecable. The walls are freshly painted white, floor beautifully laminated, everything in mint condition.
The house is located in a beautiful, calm and welcoming area of Walle. There are plenty of services within a 5 minute walk such as hairdressers, backeries, cafes, Supermarket, even a park. The Walle train station is only a 5-7 minute walk away, and from there it's around 5 minutes to the Hauptbahnhof.
You would be sharing the house with two other people; Jude and myself. For us, we love home to be a space we can show up to and spend time together, chat, cook and share a meal... Our main motivation to live together and in a WG is to have a sense of community at the place that we live at, rather than just a place to retreat in by ourselves. That doesn't mean each isn't free to have some space by themselves, of course. On the contrary, we expect respect, consideration and active communication between all. We speak openly about how we feel and what's not working well, and hope to find someone with whom that's possible to do, as well. If you were to join us, you can expect a lot of delicious meals, chill chats on the balcony, and just good vibes around the house :)
A little about us...
I'm Julia :) Originally from Spain but grew up in a small city on the coast of Mexico. I'm currently studying Earth and Environmental Sciences at Jacobs University. I love the outdoors and pretty much anything that will get me out there: biking, camping, backpacking, running, horse back riding, sailing... I'm always super down to hang out to do any of these things or try something new. I really enjoy having honest and genuine conversations which often times turn out stretching over hours, but also really value and find pleasure in silence. If you're an introvert, you don't have to worry that I'll suck you into a conversation if you're not comfortable :)
There's also Jude (for whom I'm writing this, so don't get the impression she's full of herself!). She's from Jordan and studying Global Economics and Management at Jacobs University. She is the sweetest and friendliest person, even if perhaps a tiny bit shy at first. She's very easy to talk to and always there when needed, but that doesn't mean she doesn't have plenty of good stories to tell, given that she's traveled a lot around the world, does scuba diving, and has a great sense of humor. Always down to go explore a new city, chat over coffee, or do sports, but also just chill.
As you may have figured by now, our German is not very good but we'd love to practice with anyone who moves in to the apartment ! You'd be of course also very welcome to practice Arabic or Spanish if you happen to be learning either :)
