The room is approx. 18 m² and has two large windows and a beautiful wooden floor.
The view from the room is directly onto the small park of Mathildenplatz.
The room is partly furnished. The dark, wooden desk, black shelf, large wardrobe and bed can be taken over for 90 €.
The communal areas are shared with two other housemates and include the following:
- Kitchen with electric cooker with four plates, oven, microwave and all cooking equipment you need
- Living room with couch and TV screen
- Bathroom with shower and toilet
- Second separate toilet
- Small room with washing machine
- Storage space in the attic (separated from the flat)
The total rent is 412 EUR and includes everything: water, heating, electricity, internet, TV fee and community tax
The flat is very centrally located, only about a minute's walk from Luisenplatz.
Due to the central location, there are various shopping and leisure opportunities and a very good connection to public transport. The main station is 8 min by bike or public transportt. TU Darmstadt Campus Stadtmitte is a 5 minute walk throught the park. For international travel the AIR-bus connection allows you to take a direct bus from Luisenplatz to Frankfurt Airport.
The Herrngarten is also just around the corner, so you even have some green space in the city centre.
Your housemates are Paulina (27, German, English, Spanish, Polish) who is currently a Law clerk, and Abhishek (24, English, Bengali, Hindi) who just started his PhD in computational chemistry. They are active, open and communicative. We sometimes do things together (cooking, going to the park, go on a weekend trip), but we respect each others private life as well.
To take over one third of the communal furniture (kitchen, living room, etc.) we ask for a one-off sum of €300 (which, in turn, you would get from the next person to move into the room).
We offer a temporary contract first since the main tenant (Paulina) will leave Darmstadt and terminate main the rental contract for the flat at the end of November. However, it can be discussed to take over the contract and continue the WG long-term.
