Da ich ab Mitte September für ein Jahr ins Ausland gehe, suche ich eine:n Nachmieter:in für mein Zimmer. Der Raum ist ca. 13m² und hat eine Einbuchtung, in die perfekt ein großes Bett reinpasst, wodurch noch viel Platz für andere Möbel bleibt. Das Zimmer liegt mit zwei weiteren Zimmern in der unteren der beiden Etagen des Hauses.
Das Bad liegt in der oberen Etage und wird zu viert geteilt. Anna und Karthik haben in ihren Zimmern eigene Bäder, sodass es auch nicht zum Stau kommt. Die Küche (mit Spülmaschine!) ist klein, die Größe reicht aber auch für gemeinsames Kochen aus und ist mit (fast) allem an Zubehör ausgestattet, was man für die verrücktesten Gerichte brauchen kann. Hier steht auch unser Esstisch und ist der Dreh- und Angelpunkt des WG-Lebens.
Da wir in einem Haus wohnen, gibt es einen Keller, in dem neben Waschmaschinen und Gefrierschrank auch reichlich Platz ist, alles unter zu stellen, was nicht ins Zimmer soll. Auch Fahrräder finden hier Platz, wenn sie nicht draußen im Hof stehen sollen. Den Hof teilen wir uns mit zwei Nachbarn und Ari, dem Nachbarshund. Hier essen wir gerne, wenn es wärmer ist und auch Sport kann hier gemacht werden.

Since I'm leaving Darmstadt to study abroad for a year I'm looking for a new tenant for my room. It is located on the first floor with two other bed rooms. The room has aproximately 13m² and a corner where a big bed fits in perfectly so that you still have a lot of space for all your other stuff. There's a big window directed at a street.
The bathroom is being shared with three other flatmates, while the other two have their own bathrooms in their rooms. The kitchen is fully equipped and also functions as replacement for a living room, which we do not have. Therefore, it is also the center of communal living.
As we are living in a house for ourselves, there is also a basement where things that you don't want to have in your room can be stored (tools, suitcase, bicycles...). We do have an outside which is shared with two neighbors and a dog. Here, we eat when the weather is warmer and also leave the bicycles.
Die Wohnung liegt in Arheilgen in unmittelbarer Nähe zur Tram-Haltestelle. In 12 Minuten erreicht man mit der Straßenbahn (wenn gerade keine Baustellen in Darmstadt sind; im Moment braucht man ca. 25min) oder dem Rad den Luisenplatz und somit die Innenstadt von Darmstadt. Zur Lichtwiese ist man etwa eine halbe Stunde mit dem Rad unterwegs. Mit der S-Bahn (<10 Minuten zu Fuß entfernt) ist man außerdem schnell am Hbf oder in Frankfurt.
Alles, was man für den täglichen Bedarf braucht, ist fußläufig erreichbar. Zu Edeka, dm und Bäckern läuft man 5 Minuten, auch ein Bauernladen mit frischem Gemüse ist direkt um die Ecke. Außerdem gibt es einen Aldi, zu dem man 5 Minuten mit dem Rad fährt.
Da Arheilgen am Stadtrand liegt, ist es auch möglich, an den Feldern spazieren zu gehen und in der Natur zu entspannen.

The flat is located in Darmstadt-Arheilgen just a few steps away from a tram stop from which the city center can be reached in 12 minutes (right now it takes 10-15min longer since there are some construction sites on the way). It does not take much longer to go there by bike either. TU Lichtwiese is roughly half an hour away (by tram or bike). The next train stop is located down the road (less than 10 minutes to walk) from which the central station or Frankfurt can easily be reached.
Shops where everything for daily needs can be bought are a 5 minute walk away (Edeka for groceries, dm, bakery etc.). Additionally, Aldi can be reached in 5 minutes by bike.
As Arheilgen is located at the edge of the city, nature is not far away and fields invite for walks.
Mit in der WG wohnen Anna, Karthik, Sarah and Svenja. Außerdem wird ein weiteres Zimmer frei.
Anna und Sarah studieren Soziale Arbeit im Bachelor an der hda, Kartik studiert (eigentlich) Informatik an der TU, arbeitet aber auch schon Vollzeit in Frankfurt und Svenja studiert Materialwissenschaft an der TU.
Die Interessen sind weit gestreut (Kochen, Bouldern, Cricket, Feiern gehen, Radfahren, etc.), sodass sich immer jemand findet, der sich anschließt, wenn man eine Aktivität lieber zu zweit oder mit mehreren machen möchte.
Wir sind definitiv keine Zweck-Wg und verbringen gerne auch Zeit miteinander, zum Beispiel bei Spieleabenden oder gemeinsamem Kochen. Häufig sitzen wir aber auch einfach nach dem Kochen zusammen und quatschen. Außerdem findet sich fast immer jemand, der Lust hat etwas zusammen zu unternehmen oder gemeinsam Sport oder Yoga zu machen.
Uns ist wichtig, dass auch du Lust auf ein freundschaftliches Miteinander hast, aber natürlich hat jeder auch seine Freiräume und ein eigenes Leben und es ist völlig ok, sich ins Zimmer zurück zu ziehen, wenn Ruhe gebraucht wird.

Anna and Sarah study social work at hda, Karthik is a student of informatics, but is mainly focussing on his job at a company in Frankfurt and Svenja studies materials science.
The range of interests is big (cooking, bouldering, cricket, partying, cycling,...) so that there will most likely always be someone to join an activity if you prefer doing it with someone else.
In the WG we are friends with each other and are not just co-living. Activities we do together are e.g. cooking or playing board games.
It is important to us that you are also interested in living together and not just with each other, but of course it is ok to go to your room and have time for yourself when me-time is needed.
Da ich bereits Mitte September ausziehe, kannst du auch ein bisschen früher als Oktober einziehen, wenn du das möchtest.
