Die Wohnung liegt direkt am Nürnberger Ei, aber nicht an der Straßenseite. Somit ist es die meiste Zeit des Tages sehr ruhig.
Bis zur nächsten Haltestelle sind es nur 180 Meter (Nürnberger Platz). Dort fahren Straßenbahn 3 und 8 sowie der Bus 61. Man kann in weniger als 5 Minuten am Hauptcampus der TU sein oder in etwa 10 Minuten im Zentrum (Postplatz) von Dresden. Zum Hauptbahnhof sind es 3 Minuten mit der Bahn, zu Fuß ca. 10 Minuten, und zum Albertplatz in der Neustadt sind es ca. 13-15min mit der Bahn.
Die nächsten Einkaufmöglichkeiten sind nur 200 Meter entfernt. Supermarkt, Post, Bank, Apotheke, Bibliothek... sind also direkt in der Nähe.

The apartment is located at the "Nürnberger Ei", near the TU Dresden. Your room is not
located towards the street, so you won’t hear the cars too much, i.e. most of the time it is quiet.
The next station of public transport is within a 180m distance (Nürnberger Platz). There you will
find the tram lines „3“ and „8“ and the bus line „61“. Your way to university takes less than 5min,
to the city centre (Postplatz) 10min by tram. To the main station it takes 3min by tram or 10min by
foot. And the station „Albertplatz“, which is the „door“ to the Neustadt (a district where you can
find lots of international food and a great nightlife) is 13 up to 15 min away (by tram).
Possibilities for shopping are located in a 200m distance, i.e. a supermarket, post office, cash
terminal / bank, library, ... are very close.

Nach über vier Jahren werde ich nun meine WG schweren Herzens verlassen. Für mich geht es in eine andere Stadt. Die übrigen, Benjamin (22), Max (25) und Jens (29), studieren bzw. arbeiten teilweise seit einigen Jahren hier. Wir sind insgesamt eine eher ruhige WG.

After more than four years I will now leave my room with a heavy heart. I am going to another city. The rest of
us Benjamin (22), Max (25) and Jens (29) have been studying or working here in Dresden partially for
several years. We are a rather quiet flat community.

Die Wohnung wurde vor sieben Jahren komplett saniert, besitzt zwei getrennte Bäder, eines mit Badewanne und das andere mit einer großen Dusche, jeweils mit Toilette. Das bedeutet, dass langes Anstehen in der Früh vermieden wird. Ein zusätzlicher, gemeinsam genutzter Raum wird als Abstell- und Vorratskammer genutzt. Die Küche ist voll ausgestattet und mit einer Arbeitsplatte aus Naturstein versehen. Solltest du kochen können, steht damit der Zubereitung deines Leibgerichtes nichts im Wege. Und wenn du dann nach dem Kochen keine Lust hast, ab zu waschen, dann ist das auch kein Problem, denn wir haben eine Spülmaschine. Bei Problemen in der Wohnung, ist der Hausmeister sehr hilfsbereit und allzeit erreichbar. Im Hinterhof gibt es die Möglichkeit zum Grillen.
Der Einzug ist ab Ende Februar möglich. Die Mindestmietdauer beträgt 6 Monate.
In den Gesamtmiete sind neben Wasser und Heizung auch Strom, Internet und Rundfunkbeitrag enthalten.

The apartment has been completely renovated seven years ago. There are two separate bathrooms,
one with a shower and the other one with a bathtub – both with a toilet. An additional, shared
room is used as a storeroom. The kitchen is fully equipped and contains a countertop made of
natural stone. If you’re able to cook, nothing stands in your way of preparing your favourite meal.
And if you don’t feel like washing your dishes, there is a dishwasher, which will undertake this
chore for you. In case of problems in the apartment the caretaker is helpful and available at any
time. There is a possibility to have a barbecue in the back yard.
Moving into your new room is possible from end of February. The minimum rental period is 6 months.
The total rent includes heating and water as well as electricity, internet and broadcasting fees.
