Hey you guys!
It'll be just a couple of months of staying elsewhere, but I'm really sad to be moving out of my big and yet cozy room in our shared flat in Düsseldorf-Bilk. For the period of 4 months (starting from March 3 to June 30, 2019) I won't stay here and am therefore searching for someone who might want to live here during that time. It has two large windows facing the street in front of the house and will be furnished at the time of your arrival already (bed, couch, coffee table, chest of drawers, desk, chair, armchair, book shelf, floor lamp). The furniture is not exactly brand new, but still in good shape and will cover all basic needs of feeling comfortable. :)
The rest of the apartment consists of a hall, a kitchen with a cozy place to sit/eat/chat/have drinks as well as a small but big-enough bathroom. Everything you might need for cooking is here; there's no need to bring anything.
Within a 5-minute walking distance from the apartment you'll reach the Karonlingerplatz where you can take multiple trams and U-Bahnen (701, 704, U71, U73, U83). There's also a bus station right around the corner from where you can head to the campus of the Heinrich-Heine-Universität. But if you prefer going there by bike, it won't take you longer than 10 minutes.
Concerning stores and supermarkets you'll find everything you need nearby (Netto, Penny, Rewe City, Edeka and Aldi), including an awesome pizza place, a copy shop and a number of convenience stores. Unfortunately, it's difficult to find a spot around to park your car. Spots to leave your bike, however, are abundant - whether in front of the house or in the basement.
Your future roomies are Amy (25, from Cairo, Egypt singer by day, amaaaazing self-taught cook by night) and Valme (28, from Sevilla, works in accounting but is also a Spanish professional for awesome healthy meals, lover of good music and an avid traveler). They're both really easy-going, down-to-earth people that make life seem nice and easy. As German is not their native language we usually speak English around here but also switch to German occasionally.
If you'd like to get to know them - and the room - write me an e-mail telling me a little about you, what you do or going to do in Düsseldorf, what your favorite pesto flavor is and on what date and at what time you could probably drop by to pay us a visit! Our available dates are Monday, 28th, Wednesday, 30th January and Friday, 1st February in the evening, respectively.
Bis dann!
Lina, Amy and Valme
