WG-Zimmer - 21m² - Möbliert - Bergerstraße (Shared flat room - 21 sq.m. - Furnished - Best Area)

Die Wohnung liegt fast direkt auf der Station Merianplatz U4. In weniger als 5 Minuten ist man aus dem Bett an die U-Bahnstation gelaufen wenn es sein muss. Auch U6/U7 sind mit der Station Zoo in unter 10 min erreichbar. Das selbe gilt für die S-Bahnstation Ostendstraße.
In unter 10 Minuten erreicht man zu Fuß außerdem 2 Pennys, Rewe (20 min. bis Rewe City, geöffnet bis 23:30 und Aldi) und dutzende Bars, Restaurants und Shops auf Bergerstraße und Sandweg. Auch am Main oder auf der Zeil ist man in nur 20 Minuten Spaziergang.
Für die, die neu in Frankfurt sind: Berger Straße/Bornheim ist eine der besten Gegenden in Frankfurt für Junge Akademiker und Professionals und vergleichbar mit einer Mischung Friedrichshein/Kreuzberg/Prenzberg in Berlin oder Schwabing in München.

The apartment is almost on the metro station Merianplatz U4. You can reach the station in less than 5 minutes by foot. The stations U6/U7 Zoo and S-bahn Ostenstraße are within a 10 min radius by foot. Also within a 10 min radius are 2 Penny markets, a Rewe (20 min by foot to a Rewe City which is open until 23:30) market and docents of shops, bars and restaurants on Bergerstraße and Sandweg.
You also need less than 20 minutes to reach the Main river or the Zeil.
For those of you new to Frankfurt: Berger Straße/Bornheim is one of the best areas for young academics and professionals in Frankfurt and comes with plenty of nice shops/bars/restaurants and a vibrant young community.

Nach einem Jahr Corona stellen wir die WG neu auf, da meine Mitbewohnerinnen Regina und Solvejg zu ihrem Freund ziehen / bzw. einen Job in der Heimat gefunden habe. Daher werden über die nächsten Monate 2 Zimmer frei.
Die WG gibt es mitlerweile seit 6 Jahren und sie wurde ursprünglich von mir (Michael) und einem Freund gegründet. In den letzten 6 Jahren hatten wir eine recht diverse Gruppe von Mitbewohnern aus China, Korea und diversen Europäischen Ländern. Auch wenn es durch Jobwechsel, Hochzeit, etc. immer wieder Wechsel in der Konstellation der WG gab sind viele ehemalige Mitbewohner immernoch eng vernetzt und wir treffen uns oft und helfen einander aus.
In der Vergangenheit haben wir auch immer mal wieder kleine Feiern in der WG gehabt, im großen Schlafzimmer aka. Wohnzimmer Fernsehabende (GoT,...) oder Mario Kart Sessions gehabt. Außerdem gab es öfters am Sonntag ein Weißwurstfrühstück mit Freunden oder ehemaligen Mitbewohnern (da Florian und ich aus Bayern kommen). Ansonsten saßen wir auch gerne mal bei einem Bier / Wein /Shisha auf dem Balkon im Sommer.
Insgesamt haben wir immer auf eine Open-Door-Policy geachtet, so dass man einfach mal bei den anderen Mitbewohnern rein schauen und quatschen kann wenn die tür offen ist und ein aktives WG leben hat. Andersrum ist es auch wichtig, dass die Privatsphäre geachtet wird. Ich fände es schön, wenn man dass mit den neuen Mitbewohnern aufrecht erhalten kann.

Following the Corona year, we are rebuilding the flatshare this summer. Since my two flatmates, Regina and Solvejg are moving in with her boyfriend / taking a job closer to home, two fully furnished rooms are opening up.
The flatshare has a long history and was started six years ago. Since then we have had a very diverse range of members from all over the world and all kinds of backgrounds. Although the former flatmates have moved out / away due to marriage, jobs, and studies, we still have a tight network and are in contact with each other.
Apart from this, the big room (my bedroom) has a couch, a balcony, and a TV so we often had TV (GoT etc) nights, Mario Kart tournaments, white sausage breakfasts (I am from Bavaria/Franconia), and were hanging out there after work / class.
I hope to find new flatmates to continue these traditions when I start working in Frankfurt as a Strategy Consultant this Fall.
Overall, an open-door policy where we can talk or do something together in the evening but have privacy when we need it has always been the core of this flatshare and I hope to keep this up with the new flatmates.
