Hello everyone, unforyunately I have to leave Frabkfurt and this great WG to go back to France.
My room will then be free from the 1st of August.
The room is currently furnished and I do not wish to keep the furnitures. So I can either sell everything to you when leaving, or sell it seperatly if you already have your own furnitures. We can discuss it together.
The furnitures are as follow: a bed and matress, a nightstand, a large cupboard with hanger and shelf section, a dresser (6 drawers), a small kallax shelf and a big mirror.
If you are interested, I would like to sell them for 560€ (I bought everything new two years ago for 700€).
The apartment is very nice, big and with everything you need: it was renovated in 2016, it has a big living room with a large sofa-bed and a big table for gatherings with friends; a fully-equiped kitchen with dishwasher, washing machine and dining area; a bathroom with bathtube-shower and a toilet in a separated room; a small cozy balcony on the backyard garden and a small entrance hall with some extra storage space (for shoes, cleaning supplies or other). We also have a private cellar in the basement and a shared internal space to park bikes.
The apartment is located in one of the most attractive areas of Frankfurt, Westend Nord, only 5 minutes walking to one of Goethe University Campus and to the big Grüneburg Park.
Very close to the apartment there is a bus stop that brings you to Bockenheim (west) in 5 minutes and to Nordend/Bornheim (east) in 10 minutes. In 5 minutes walking there's the U-Bahn (underground subway) station of Miquel-/Adickesallee that brings you to Hauptwache (the center) in less than 10 minutes and to Sachsenhausen (south) in less than 15 minutes. All these places can also be easily reached in about 15 minutes or less by bike, or 30 minutes or less by foot. Hauptbahnhof (central train station) is reached in 15 minutes with public transportations. The highway connection can also be easily and quickly reached within minutes.
In the area (less than 10 minutes walking) one can reach supermarkets, a pharmacy, kiosks and some restaurants

U-Bahn 1,2,3,8 (all going to the city center): 5min
Bus 32, 64, n3, n82: around the corner
In addition, the motorway connection to the A66 and the A5 is very good.
My two flatmates who are staying are young professionals. Jacopo is Italian and is doing his PhD in psychology and Sohan is Indian and working as a network operation Engineer.
And I am French. So we are a very international WG!
We usually speak English together but Sohan can speak some German and Jacopo took a class to learn it a little. And of course we enjoy trying understanding our own Italian and French!
The atmosphere in the flat is very chilled. We respect everyone's need for their own spaces and privacy, but we also enjoy doing stuff together, wheather it is just having a chat in the kitchen while eating, or having a drink and/or cooking together, watching movies, playing board games, having friends over or going out (hopefully those will be possible again very soon!). We are open-minded and like to talk and discover new things!
In the building we have very nice neighbors and we have a common Whatsapp group to communicate with them about the building or other.
The total monthly rent (530 euros) includes all the utilities (40€ = heating, electricity, internet and tv/radio tax)
The deposit is 1100 euros, to be paid with the first month rent.
The additionnal 500 euros are for the existing equipment: the shared furnitures in the kitchen (build-in kitchen, washine machine, dishwasher, fridge...), living room (sofa, tables and chairs...) and bathroom.
