I'll be out of town for the next term, so my roommate and I are looking for someone to sublet my room to. The dates mentioned above (8th April until 30th July) are negotiable, anything from the start of April until the end of July/mid-August works for me, so this is perfect for people looking for a room for the upcoming term. The room has 12 square meters and is fully furnished with a big bed, a nightstand, a desk (including chair and shelf space), a dresser with a clothes rail, a mirror and a book case (believe me, it fits. I was surprised myself, but it does). Depending on how much stuff you bring, I will remove books, clothes and stuff on the shelves, but the furniture has to stay. The room has access to a balcony, and since we're on the 7th floor the view is quite nice.
Public transport is pretty amazing, there's a tram stop right across the street with two lines (3 and 5) that will take you to the city center and the university in 7 minutes, and a few bus lines that will take you to the central train station in 3 minutes. On weekends the trams run all night, and I've never felt unsafe on my way home. There's also a cheap supermarket (Lidl) right across the street, plus a pizza and a döner place. Traffic can be a bit noisy at times, especially because there's a police station close by, but when you close the windows you don't hear a thing. If you like to take walks, there's a hill (Lorettoberg) with some forests and a nice neighbourhood (Wiehre) with pretty houses close by.
You will have one roommate (23 years old) who is a master student at Freiburg University. We both like a bit of privacy, so if you expect round the clock entertainment you might want to look elsewhere, but she's happy to help with anything you might need, and she's not against socializing, so you can and will have some nice chats with her ;) You will share a bathroom (no bathtub, just a shower), the balcony (once it's habitable again) and the kitchen, which is well equipped except for a dishwasher. The apartment also has good wifi, and the fee is already included in the costs.
We are looking for a tidy girl (sorry, no guys), student or not. It's a plus if you're not from Germany and want to speak in English, but that's not a must. I'll be a lot more favourable towards you if you contact me via email (), but if you have an urgent question about the apartment or can't find it you can also call my cell. I'll do my best to reply to everyone who contacts me, and once we have a pool of applicants we'll choose a few to show the apartment (we can also do that on skype, if you're not in Freiburg). If we pick you, you'll get an official sublet contract, and we can talk further about the dates and how much space you'll need. We're looking forward to meeting you :)
