The room is located on the 1st floor of the building 20. It is a part of shared flat with 8 rooms in total. There're shared bathrooms (3) and shared toilets. We have a huge living room where we like to gather to have dinners together and fully equipped kitchen with almost everything that you might need for cooking.
Händelwohheim is located in the district Herdern, close to Okenstraße tram stop line 4, as well as to Herdern train station. It takes around 12-15 minutes to get to the city, same time if you go by bike.
The dorm itself has a very nice garden where you can sit and study in the daytime and have a nice dinner or BBQ in the evening. The neighborhood is very quiet and chill. We have a very nice park that is accessible in 5 minutes by walk. If you go further you will reach amazing fields of Zähringen. You can also go up the hills and reach Eichhalde in 20 minutes by walk and witness the most beautiful sunsets.
The dorm is surrounded by nature from all sides and gives you an impression of living in a Twilight movie. :)
We always say that our WG is like a family. We like to do things together, go for walks, talks and get some ice-cream, but we also do respect each other's privacy and boundaries.
Our flat is an incredible mixture of cultures, Uni specializations and views, so we like to communicate with each other and learn new aspects of different mentalities.
You would enjoy your stay in the WG and as anyone who's ever stayed/lived there, wouldn't fully leave the place afterwards, 'cause we're not only flatmates that connected by living in the same flat, but we're more like community that sometimes does different events to bring all the current and former flatmates together.
Prospective renters are supposed to be officially enrolled in any universities of Freiburg -- that is the requirement from SWFR.
