The apartment is in the lower (partly below-ground) floor of a one-family-house where the landlord and her family live. The apartment has its own separate entrance and a small covered area outside for storing bicycles. The apartment has 3 rooms: a small bathroom with a shower and toilet, a kitchen with two cooking plates, and a living/bedroom with two beds and a couch. The second bed is therefore not in a private room. The washing machine is shared with the landlord family. There is a cheap bicycle you can use for free. Note that the pictures make the room look larger than it is due to the fish-eye camera lens effect. The appartment is also getting a renovated kitchen and bathroom in the coming months, so that the appartment will be modernly equipped.
Die Wohnung ist das Tiefparterre eines Einfamilienhauses, wo die Vermieterin und ihre Familie leben. Die Wohnung hat einen eigenen Eingang und einen kleinen überdachten Bereich draußen um die Fahrräder abzustellen. Die Wohnung besteht aus 3 Zimmern: ein kleines Bad mit einer Dusche und Toilette, eine Küche mit zwei Kochplatten, und ein Wohn/Schlafzimmer mit zwei Betten und einer Couch. Das zweite Bett ist also nicht in einem privaten Zimmer. Die Waschmaschine ist mit der Familie der Vermieterin geteilt. Es gibt ein billiges Fahrrad, das kostenlos benutzt werden kann. Die Wohnung sieht größer in den Fotos aus als sie wirklich ist wegen des Fischaugen Effekts.
The apartment is located 15 min by foot (5 min by bike or bus) south of the Garching subway station, where there are also grocery stores, restaurants, and all other amenities of a small city. It is a 20 min subway ride from Garching to the city center along the U6 line. The Technical University of Munich (TUM) is located 10 min by bike or by bus/subway from the apartment. There is lots of free street parking near the apartment. The neighborhood is quiet and safe.
I am a Masters student at TUM originally from Costa Rica. I speak English, Spanish, Dutch and some German. I am a very flexible roommate and have lived with different roommates, both male and female, both German and international, over the past 4 years without any problems.
