A room on the second floor, which will be available from 01.04.2016. It is under the roof, and overlooks the garden. It is 13.5 sq.m.
You can move in on 01.04.2017. We invite you to send us an email writing a few sentences about yourself so that we can get a first impression, then invite you and have a chance to get known to you better and show you our house.
We Live in an old house, with a garden in the front and the back. We have a basement with an assortment of rooms. We hope to do more things with the unused spaces in the coming months. With ten people in the house, you can sometimes still find quiet time, in your own room, or the living room or kitchen. The kitchen is the main meeting place, where we sit and cook, and chat about many things.
Everyone living here, currently, is associated with the university. German and English are two spoken languages at home, unless we have guests, then other languages can be heard sometimes, including spanish! We are all interested in different kinds of music,reading, sports, and a lot more activities. Sometimes we spend a lot of time laughing, without reason, which could be scary, but we assure you that it is a lot of fun!
As we have people who are in their bachelors, masters and doctorate, so there is a mix of conversations and interests, and deadlines that can be found here!
We organise our daily lives through tasks that are divided, and all matters regarding the house are shared and discussed at the plenum. Conversations range from the dishwasher to the phiosophical foundations of the plenum, and then you see connection at another level! It is a space to share your ideas, thoughts and sometimes difficulties.
We would like to organise more workshops for ourselves, talking about important issues such as class, gender,race and politics.
We have guests staying over, either in the living room or insomeones room (when those guys are out we fill their beds with other cool people!) We provide spaces for bands, political groups and friends. And, apartfrom sharing out space, we take forward our commitment to the ideals of socialism, and share our food, which to most is a very important part of our lives!
Somedays its magic, others its a rainy afternoon, on mostdays its home, where a meal comes with a free plausch halten. We talk about stolen lighters, and starting a drivers license for the kitchen.. Make plans to hang out and then hang out!
We watch movies in the living room, or cook meals together, and try to be funny (quite often failing)!
You can find people in the house for a little chat,coffee or a cigarette. And also music lovers who play loud music. If you dont like hip hop or techno, we hope you have something better to listen with us! Musicallys, we share different tastes, but listen to each others music, all the time!
