It is a cozy 15 Sq. meter room. Out of all the rooms in the apartment, it receives the most sunlight through a large window. The room also offers adequate privacy as the window does not face any road.
The house is on Maschmühlenweg 5B but it does not face the main street (it is located between the Finanzamt and a small house that is right in front of Bar Celona). Therefore, it is very central but it is still very quiet. In five minutes you reach the central campus, the bus stop, the central station and the city center! It is ideal for students as they are the main occupants of our and the neighboring houses. We also have a small courtyard in front to park our bikes and cars. Sometimes, you will even find people having a barbecue there.
If you move in, you would be living with Bhakti (24) and me, Marta (30). Bhakti is a "Swiss-Indian" student doing her masters in developmental and neural biology. She is already doing her master thesis but she is considering staying in Göttingen for her PhD. My name is Marta, I am from Spain and I am just starting the fourth year of my PhD on Plant Pathology. You would be taking the place of Piyal, who just finished his PhD in Plant Genetics and is moving to Texas for a posdoc. Piyal and I have lived in this house three years together and Bhakti moved in a year and a half ago. We are quite a consolidated WG, and being able to enjoy meals together in the evening and talk about how our day was is something really important to us, although it just happens spontaneously and we respect each other´s moments of privacy and rest. Regarding our hobbies, Bhakti and I really enjoy cooking, going to the gym and dancing salsa. Regarding common activities, we have recently started going to a creative writing course together. Cleanness is quiet important to us, as we think it makes the cohabitation much easier. We have a weekly cleaning plan and so far it works very well, however, we are very flexible and like to help each other out.
Bhakti and I both speak German, but for us it is more natural to speak English between us.
