I'm George, your potential new roommate. I am a PhD student at EMBL, which is a molecular biology institute in DESY. Looking for someone to take over my room as I will move into the current flat mates room when he leaves.
The electricity bills and WLAN are not included in the rent from the landlord for additional 25ish euros a month. I will take over the contracts for them from my flat mate and will basically just show you the costs every month as they may change every so often.
The room is well spaced out and you can easily fit a bed, desk, wardrobe, and chest of drawers as I did in there. You have a door directly onto the balcony which is great.
We have a fully set up living/dining room and kitchen, which is great to relax in as we have two sofas in front of the TV.
Very close to Altona Bf. So no problems for those who need public transport. We have a bicycle storage unit on our floor which is great for storing excess items as well.
5. OG room but we have an elevator so no worries with moving stuff in or out the building
I am a PhD student as I said and as much as I miss the old days too of late nights and irregular schedules in my undergrad that doesn't fit with my work life now. If you're a sensible undergrad student, you're welcome to message.
Ideally anyone who replies to this should be confident with speaking English and have a stable schedule (please no night shift workers).
I love a good cooking/takeout night with films, music or sport on the TV, and I climb regularly if you want to join. I think since we will spend so much time in the same space we should definitely get on well and I enjoy doing social things with my flat mates.
No pets at all.
Ideally you're not a heavy smoker.
Will collect responses for a week or two and reply gradually to gauge people's interest, the moving in date is far off so I am not in a rush to pick someone
