The room is furnished, it has everything included - bed, table, chair, closet, lights, etc. Nothing has to be taken over, as every piece of furniture is provided by the landlord. Furthermore, the sharing areas such as the living room, kitchen, and bathroom are also furnished and well-equipped. One has everything they needs in this house, you can pretty much pack only your things and you should be good to go in this place.
The room is quite spacious and is facing the road, but no sounds are heard as it is a calm area. The ventilation is very good, and so is the space as it is a big room. The room is located on the 4th floor and the building has no elevator, so please be mindful of this. There is a cellar to store bikes.
PS: As it is an old building, the floor creaks up when walking, but the sound is muffled if you close your room.
The WG is located in a calm area in Veddel. The area is extremely green and if you love nature, this is surely a place to be. There is also a playground too, nearby the school.
A bus stop is situated within 2 min. walk. You can also reach the S-Bahn Veddel station by 15 mins walking. Unfortunately, there are no supermarkets nearby, hence you need to plan on shopping. Other facilities such as the general clinic, pharmacy, and eating outlets can all be reached within 15 mins.
Currently, Alexis (Mexico), Mohan (India), and myself (India) are living here. We are all working and therefore, we only meet each other when working in the home office, or the evenings/weekends in the kitchen. As we rarely meet, we make a conscious effort to meet together once in a while - could be going out to a restaurant or cooking together. We have a great harmony among ourselves and respect each other's privacy and we expect the same from our new flatmate.
Besides, it is similar to any other WG - we share common things, have a cleaning plan, and meet together every once in a while.
The room rent includes everything - heating, water, electricity, and GEZ. For the internet, I pay and then collect the split from others once every three months.
Kindly note that the WG is located in a calm area, hence, if you are a regular partying person, this might not be the one. Also, strictly - no smoking or pets allowed.
