Hey there!
This advert is only directed to refugees already being in Kiel or coming to Kiel soon! This is not to discriminate anyone else, but we would like to to welcome a refugee in our home, as we would prefer ourselves staying in a shared flat than a refugee camp :)
But now, some facts on the room that is available. The room measures about 22 sqm. We are living in the 4th floor so there is a small roof pitch. Its carpeted and the walls are painted in white. There are three smaller windows directed westbound, so there is sunshine in the afternoon.
Our former flat mate would leave a big cupboard with a mirrow behind, apart from that the room is not furnished. But we are sure, that we, of course only if necessary, could organize the needed items together.
The flat has two more rooms, each for one of us. Eventhough we have no living room or balcony, we are very lucky with our cosy kitchen. The couch in the kitchen invites everyone to have a seat and just hang around, so our friends are always welcome.
Our bathroom has a shower and it is small but clean :).
Apart from that we have small storage spaces in the garret and also in the basement. Our bikes can be safely parked in the backyard.
From our flat its a two minutes walk to the Schrevenpark ("the" park in the city center), and by bike you are at the train main station in less than ten minutes, the same counts for the distance to the sea (Förde).
As for shopping the next supermarket is at a two minutes distance, the market at the Exerzierplatz is twice a week and a five minutes walk from our place.
To summarize, actually everything relevant in Kiel can be reached in 15 minutes by bike and if the bike is not your friend, you can find the next bus stop close by, too.
Well, now the probably most interesting part - who is going to stay with you?
We, Sylvia and Wiebke, are both students. Sylvia is doing her masters in "migration and diversity" and Wiebke is studying medicine.
To us it is important that living together is not just a convenience. We like to meet in the kitchen, exchange how life is going, cook together, spend evenings togehter at home and also outside, ... ;)
Despite all sharing everyone is always free to close the door and have time for herself, doing sports, music, reading or just relaxing.
To summarize the most important facts:
The room is available from beginning of october, we said the 15th as we are just returning end of september and of course would like to get to know you before moving in :)
We pay 230 € as monthly rent, internet and telephone (german landline), electricity and heating is already included. The deposit for the renter is 450 € and will be payed back after moving out again (even though this is hopefully than in a future far away)
We get back to Kiel end of september, so we would love to get to know you then.
