First of all sorry for the mess in my room on the pictures, but we squeezed together a bit in the last few days because one of my lovely flatmates is moving out soon and we're 4 instead of 3 people in our flat at the moment. We're all having quite huge rooms (min. 25 qm each) and the aparment is really sunny. Unfortunately, we do'nt have a balcony but I love sitting at my window in the evenings to catch the last bit of sun. My room is facing the yard, so it's relatively quite. I'll travel to asia for 4-5 months and I'll leave my furniture in the room for that time. I'll leave everything that you see in the pictures. What might look like a second bed (next to the window) on the picture is actually a couch.
Even though room are huge, the kitchen and bathroom are a bit small. However, we always made it somehow to fit all of us. We have a dishwasher in the kitchen and a washing maschine in the basement. As we live in 5. floor, you'd better think twice about when to do your laundy to avoid taking the stairs.
We live central in Ehrenfeld, it takes like a 5 min walk to get to Venloer street, where you find literally everything. Ehrenfeld is a super nice quater with lots of culture, pubs, shopping and cafes. It's a 5 min walk also to the next tram station and the bus stop is only 3 min far. There are plenty of supermarkets around, the closest one is also like a 3 min walk.
The best thing about this flat are defenitely the lovely people living here. I'll have a hard time without them when traveling. There's a lot of movement in our flat in the next few months, but for the first bit of time you'll stay with Lena and Shaikh. Shaikh is leaving us for a semester abroad in September, but luckily comes back afterwards. Another person will move in his room for a few months then. Lena will stay in our flat for the whole time. They're both really good persons and we love chatting and hanging out in each others rooms whenever we're free. We frequently have dinner, see friends or go clubbing together. I think in general everybody here is quite caring and thinks just work naturally.
We'd love to have a person that also likes to socialize and that cares about their flatmates. If you need quite time, that's totally fine of course.
We usually speak english in the flat, as this is Shaikhs first language. Lena and I are both german and Shaikhs german is actually quite good, but we would anyhow prefer a person to move in that is fine with speaking english.
By the way, we never had a cleaning plan neither. Everybody feels responsible and we usually manage to keep our flat clean like this.
I'll travel to asia for 4-5 months, I'll probably deide within the next few days when exactly I'm coming back. The room will definetly be free from 09.07-09.11, maybe a bit longer. I will make space for you in my room, but I'll need to keep a few drawers to store my stuff. Our warm rent is 500€/month including energy, wifi and everything. The deposit that you'd need to pay for the flat and my furniture is also 500.
