The room in question is in the first floor of an apartment building built in the 1950s. The room is its own flat, where you have your own bathroom (6m^2 of the 20m^2) and the kitchen is down the hall in another flat, where your flatmate lives. So you have the kitchen as a common space but your room and the bathroom you have just for yourself.
The building is 10 mins away from the Bf Ehrenfeld and 4 mins away from the Venloer Str. so the connections to the centre/all around Cologne work really well. It’s also right in the heart of Ehrenfeld so the area is really nice for young people/students. There’s also a possibility to park your car nearby.
My roommate is a musician studying at the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln and as mentioned before you have the kitchen as a common space with him. It’s possible to cook/hang out there together and you also get to have your privacy in your own flat. Living here is uncomplicated:)
The contract would start off first as an Untermietvertrag but probably could be extended in to a Hauptmietvertrag. There’s a possibility to have your bike locked in the yard.
