Das Zimmer ist 18 m2 groß und hat zwei große Fenster. Dadurch ist es sehr hell, nachmittags scheint die Sonne rein. Auf der linken Seite ist eine gemütliche Bettnische. Das Zimmer wird zur Zwischenmiete möbliert übergeben; gerne schaffe ich Platz im Kleiderschrank, in Schubladen und Regalen (allerdings kann ich das Zimmer nicht komplett leer räumen). Das Zimmer und das meiner Mitbewohnerin liegen an beiden Enden der Wohnung, d.h. man hört die andere Person quasi gar nicht.
Die Wohnung liegt im 2.OG des Hauses. Sie ist ziemlich geräumig, hat ein Bad mit Fenster und Badewanne, eine Küche, in der man sich gut zu dritt oder zu viert aufhalten kann und einen großen Flur mit relativ viel Stauraum. Die Küche hat einen "französischen Balkon", dadurch ist sie sehr hell (dieser wird voraussichtlich bald nicht mehr da sein). Es gibt einen Keller und einen kleinen Hinterhof mit Platz für Fahrräder.
Die Miete liegt bei 450Euro/Monat, darin ist alles inbegriffen (Miete, Strom, Gas, Internet, GEZ).
The room is 18sqm and has two large windows which makes the room very bright. During the afternoons, the sun shines into it. There is a comfortable bed niche on the left side of the room. The room is fully furnished during your stay, I will make room in the wardrobe, in cupboards and shelves (unfortunately, I won’t be able to empty the space fully). Our rooms (my room and the one from my roommate) are located across each end of the apartment (which reduces noise).
The apartment is on the second floor. It is spacious, containing a bathroom with a window and a bathtub, a kitchen in which three to four people can linger and a big floor with nice space for storage. The kitchen – for now – has a “French balcony” which makes it very bright. A basement and a small backyard with space for bicycles are available.
The rent is about 450 Euro per month, entailing all relevant costs (rent, electricity, gas, Wi-Fi and tv licence-fees (GEZ)).

Die Wohnung liegt sehr zentral im schönen Kalk. Perfekt sind die nahen Verkehrsanbindungen, d.h. fast direkt vor der Haustür befindet sich die U-Bahn-Station Kalk Post (Linie 1 und 9) und zur S-Bahn Station Trimbornstraße sind es zu Fuß nur 5 Minuten: Ins Zentrum zum Neumarkt braucht man nur 12 Minuten, zur Uni ca. 18 Minuten; zum Hauptbahnhof 4 Minuten, nach Ehrenfeld 12 Minuten. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten gibt es zur Genüge und sie sind alle in 5-10 Minuten zu Fuß zu erreichen. In unmittelbarer Nähe finden sich Supermärkte (REWE, Kaufland, Aldi), Apotheken, Drogerien, die Köln-Arkaden (Shopping Center), eine Postzentrale, Gemüseläden und zahlreiche Falafel-und Dönerlädchen. Auch mit dem Fahrrad ist man hier gut unterwegs. Bis in die Innenstadt sind es etwa 20 Minuten und bis zur Uni 30 Minuten.
The apartment is centrally located in beautiful Kalk. Public transport connnections are close by: the underground station Kalk Post (Line 1 and 9) (approximately 2-4 minutes walking distance), and the S-Bahn station Trimbornstr. (5 minutes walking distance). The transport options enable the reach of various locations within just a few minutes: only a 12 minutes ride to Neumarkt (the center), 18 minutes to the University, 4 minutes to the central station of Cologne and 12 minutes to Ehrenfeld. Within close proximity there are countless little shops and shopping facilities (a drug store, supermarkets, a Shopping Center (Köln-Arkaden), a general post office, greengrocer's and many Döner- and Falafelstores). The bike is also a nice option to use for transport: approximately within 20 minutes you will reach the central station and within 30 minutes the University.

Du würdest für die Zeit mit Hannah (32) zusammen wohnen. Hannah hat African Studies und Soziale Arbeit studiert und arbeitet derzeit im Sozialen Bereich im Kontext Flucht / Migration. Sie ist ein geselliger und kommunikativer Mensch und freut sich immer, wenn was los ist in der WG. Sie kocht und backt gerne für sich und andere, bevorzugt vegan/vegetarisch. Sie würde sich freuen, wenn du dich auch hauptsächlich vegetarisch ernährst :). Zudem diskutiert sie gerne über gesellschaftliche und feministische Themen, liest gerne, geht ins Café und gerne tanzen.
Wir pflegen in der WG ein empathisches Miteinander sowie eine offene und ehrliche Kommunikation. Offenheit und Respekt allen Menschen gegenüber (unabhänigig zugeschriebener Kategorien) ist uns extrem wichtig. Es wäre schön, wenn du das genauso siehst.
During your stay, you would live together with Hannah (32). Hannah studied African Studies and Social Work and currently works in the social sector within the field of flight/migration. She is a sociable and communicative person and enjoys the company of others in the apartment. She likes to bake and cook for herself and others, preferably vegan/vegetarian. She would also like for you to eat mostly vegetarian food. :). In addition, she also likes to discuss societal and feminist issues, likes to read, enjoys cafés and to dance.
We maintain an empathetic togetherness and an open and honest communication. Openness and respect towards all people (regardless of ascribed categories) is crucial for us. We are happy if you share our opinion.
